Hey everyone! Welcome to the Death Note Play-Test.
This test will involve the core gameplay change that Death Note will be introducing to GAFIA - elimination-style voting. In order to test this, we're going to play a few rounds of a barebones, basic version of the game. Think of it as the equivalent of basic "Mafia" with no power roles.
Game Structure
This game will not have Night phases; each round will be a Day phase, much like what you're used to. Everyone talks, there's a time limit, and players vote. However, the vote is different.
In this game, you will be passing a notebook from player to player. As you might guess, this is a dangerous Death Note. By virtue of passing the Death Note to a player, you're making a VOTE to declare that player as "Safe". Additionally, when you hold the book, you can look inside and see what's been written.
Voting - Passing the Notebook
Each Day, every player will be entitled to declare one other player as "Safe" by using the command
This is done in turns; the first player (who I will designate) will declare another player as "Safe", it is now that new player's turn to declare who they think is "Safe", and so on, until we get to the last player.
Example: In a game with players "H", "I", "J", and "K":
"H" starts the round and passes the Notebook to "J".
Now, "J" can pass it to another player - they choose "I".
"I" then passes the notebook to "K". The round ends.
The last player to not get passed the notebook is deemed "Unsafe", and is eliminated.
End of the Round
After player elimination, the Death Note will take effect. If a player's Real Name was written in the book exactly as given to the player via PM, they will now die.
How to Win
Town: Eliminate Kira to win.
Kira: Eliminate everybody else to win.

- Note that even though "H" started the vote, nobody voted for them, so they ended up eliminated.
- If "H" had been declared safe, they would get a second vote to use. However, no previously-declared player can be declared again.
