Sophia: "Hey Nin could you please elaborate on your thoughts instead of just drive-by posts? It would really help since we can't figure out CCS atm. thx"
Nin: "no"

Really interesting how much theyve already picked apart my comments. If they used them as a guide, they could probably get all my scummates. Let's see what happens!

Yeah, Kyan is looking in the right direction even though he is just a little bit off. Town's biggest fight is going to be getting along and not just argue among the top posters and keep scum reading each other for weird reasons. I still don't understand the points against Ty and Sophia, honestly...
2 kills a Night is going to bring down the numbers really fast so they don't have many mislynches. Unless they can find the Neutral quickly they are going to lose numbers sooner than they would like.

I do want to say I also really like Natiko's playstyle. I didn't fully read his first game but I really like his analytical posts and the questions he keeps pushing despite the heat it keeps getting him. A lot of the 'little' mistakes he's making just come with playing the game a handful of times and you learn what works/what doesn't. I'm very impressed. o:

I feel Natiko pushes a fine line between being out there enough to warrant wariness but also being involved enough so town doesn't feel like risking a mislynch. That kind of ambiguity leads to a long life =/

The game is started to go the crazy route now. There is a lot of shitposting there.
What I didn't liked much how it went the first day was that it was much more focused on the meta game than looking in actual reads. One example of that was the defense that several players did for acohrs. "He can't be scum because in his last game he was really good" or "He acted different in the previous game" instead on focusing on all the red flags. This second day seems it will be the same way. The meta is good but it's not everything. There are a lot of factor that can affect how someone plays the game beside his aligment.

I've noticed meta analysis is starting to get way more popular in the past couple of games or maybe it just started doing that a few Seasons ago. It does have its' merits but you'll get people who play exactly like their Town game as Scum with minor differences and then you get brand new players who are a clean slate. If you or Sorian hadn't really pushed the point with Acohrs' red flags he might not have gotten lynched, honestly. Or at least the push towards a lynch.
I try not to meta too much when playing since I know it annoys a few people but if you've played with someone before having a comparison does help get a read going. It's the reliance on that is where people start to get caught up in nothing.

Yes, it was really getting on my nerves when they were saying: "Acohrs can't be scum because he followed his scum team lead really good then" when there were a lot of issues that were scummy, even after voting for himself.
Also that is a little bit scary because that mean that if, for some reason, someone can keep posting with the same regular activity than previous games can be readed scummy even when he did nothing to deserve it.

That was one of the major complaints some people had. People were getting lynched on Reputation alone instead of what they were doing in the game and it basically became worthless for them to try since they were going to be lynched no matter what they did, Town OR Scum. That's not incredibly fun to play in. But it also goes both ways. In Pokemon Mafia I had the reputation of being an active and helpful Town player, so when I finally rolled Scum for the first time in that game all I had to do was appear helpful and active and any Scum Slip I had was forgiven because I was playing 'just like my last game'.
It's finding the balance between 'well they're known for being good Scum' and what they are actually doing in the game. Everyone makes a mistake as Scum so there is hardly a need to lynch ( or not lynch ) people on principle, but it's a lot easier to fall back on Meta since it can work in some situations but focusing on it too much usually doesn't work out in the end.

wow I wanted to comment on that point during the game, thought it was just a done thing. As someone new, I hate this whole this isnt in line with how I played with them before. THAT MEANS FECKING NOTHING FOR ME, HALF OF YOU I HAVENT PLAYED WITH BEFORE!!

THAT MEANS FECKING NOTHING FOR ME, HALF OF YOU I HAVENT PLAYED WITH BEFORE!! It's way more prominent in games where everyone knows each other but yeah, using Meta knowledge leaves new players in the dark a lot. Don't be afraid to ask people to elaborate on those though, it helps you look Townie and it helps you understand how people are reading others. Usually I try to word 'they played different than their last game' using what they have done in this game and trying not to reference their past games because it helps you realize maybe your read is wrong/unfounded. Also helps sway people to your opinion if you actually do find something tangible. This go straight out the window when playing Scum though. It's way too easy to mislynch a Townie by using 'well they are acting different', especially if everyone else is saying it too. :p

I dislike using meta but accept that it's hard to avoid entirely. However, if you call me out for playing differently, I'm going to throw it back at you.

Any hints about the rest of the scum team?

Welcome, CCS. c:
Just a tease, but I've already received the Neutral's kill command. They will be 2 for 2 with killing Town PRs if they don't change it before the deadline. :p
Town could be in trouble when it comes to Night Actions but it all depends on the actions of one other Town PR....

Does town have something to protect against a double kill everynight? Because with the doctor killed so soon they game will end quickly.

Does town have something to protect against a double kill everynight? Because with the doctor killed so soon they game will end quickly. This is probably one of the things I wish I could change now that the game is going.
For Double Kill protection Town had the Doctor, they also have a Watcher ( who will die tonight ), and 2 of the items that will be given out are protection-based. The first item handed out was a BP and was given to Town, but Scum got incredibly lucky and stole it immediately. This game was always designed to move very quickly and the double kill was there to put pressure on Town to act fast but now with everything moving and I can see all the actions, I think I may have left Town a little too open to the double kill. :/
The item going out tonight is a 2-shot Name Cop. Depending on who it is going to may give Town the edge they need but they won't have any NK protection for some time.

Will be hard for town then. The best chance for town would be that the SK start killing scum.
Town is really unlucky that Sorian got doctor. Sorian is usually targeted the first nights.

Despite lynching Scum on Day 1 Town has been getting some terrible luck so far. Didn't think Scum would successfully steal an item on Night 1 and having potentially 2 PRs die back-to-back is unfortunate.
I do feel like Town has the advantage in the main thread though. They might get lost for a bit but once numbers start dwindling I think they will bounce back. A few people are looking in the right places, they just need to push their reads a little more to get people to back them up.
