This is precisely the problem with fake claiming as town and why the concept of Lynch All Liars exists. A townie in general has no reason to outright lie about their actions. Some players are letting their emotions run the best of them too. In Dusk's case, circumstantial evidence is often the best you get in a game of Mafia. Direct evidence is very, very, rare. Usually only coming from intentionally designed mechanics. I'd argue in this case that a scum player would have way less of a reason to lie. Like they're ahead by a lot and scum!Splinter is mostly townread so you make him do a bunch of fake claims?  And none of them are cop which is arguably the most dangerous for them. A doctor/bulletproof can only delay the inevitable. Yeah in this particular case, there's not much justification for Splinter's actions from a scum standpoint. That alone should be enough to clear him. But Blarg is playing the fact that he is Blarg up to it's fullest advantage. So nobody knows if he's telling the truth or not. It's actually a really genius play there given the state of the town players. And they don't seem to really want to lynch any of the other scum yet. |

I like Stan. He has the right attitude. It still feels like anything can happen today. My biggest hope is deadline chaos and scum accidently voting wrong. E: Gnah, maybe not. Splinter and Stan are right, Dusk and Melon are on the wrong side, nin is a wildcard as always ~ I don't know about Verelios.
Looks like scum will come out of this unscathed. Enough people bought Blarg's bait, even though he never indicated his results in any way. It's easy to be here and know everything, but ... cop and no crumbs? His refusal to explain anything in a lylo situation? Blarg knows when the stakes are high he has to deliver as town. Welp, that's it. Oh, wow now they decide to come out with information?! WTF, it's not like you wasted 93% of the day already. |
