I was a hidden partner that got recruited in my very first game but this would be my first time starting day 1 as scum, yes.

Update to my power, it's exactly what it sounds like. Instead of the persons name showing up in the vote list, it will be replaced by a stupid joke made by Roy and the vote counts as 0.

Also anything interesting in any of your role PMs? Warnings about using your powers on the wrong person or some such? I don't have anything like that in mine but want to make sure.

Hmm, one instance. So it would fail if you were both roleblocked and the person was protected. (Also, don't make assumptions on both the roleblocking/protection from your PM and the multiple night actions thing from Coppa. Roy could just be covering his ass by covering all bases. I'm sure there probably is a roleblocker and doctor but there doesn't have to be)

Now that I can type a bit easier. Let me write my pre-game post designed for scum (never gotten to use this before).

Step 1: COMMUNICATE - This thread is one of our biggest advantages. If you have a master plan, run it by all of us. Four heads are better than one. If you are unsure of a course of action or just need advice, ask. Nothing can decimate a scum team faster than one person screwing the pooch on a poorly thought out plan and all of their teammates scrambling to help while off balance (see princesses)

Step 2: Do not be afraid to vote for your teammates. You need to be in there playing mafia, looking for scum. If you come in here, you know us, you can talk to us. In that thread though, you are alone. You are a member of town looking for scum and you have to act like it. If one of us does something scummy, put us to task. If one of us makes the most sense to be voted out, do not be afraid to be on that bandwagon. Most games that scum win will end up with only one scum member remaining, it's impossible to say right now who that will be but you need to build your credibility early. Town will hit scum eventually and you need to be on that vote to look good. In mylo/lylo situations, someone will go through the entire game looking for that one clue. Do everything you can to look as town as possible. Play to find scum, not to protect yourself.

Step 3: Put on the appearance that you are expendable. It's a fine line. Every mafia player, town, neutral, or scum has reason to survive. As town, you always want to avoid a mislynch so preventing a lynch of yourself is always good but scum tends to want to survive more because of the smaller numbers but remember that at the end of the day there is a pecking order. If you are planning to pretend to be an ordinary then you need to know that you have to be willing to die for a PR. It is what it is. Under no circumstances should you only be looking out for yourself unless you plan to do something insane like pretending you are the town doctor.

And that's really it. At the end of the day, the biggest thing is you need to act as if you are town. Read the thread, find scumminess, call it out, and vote where you would vote if you are town. When you are posting in the main game thread, you have to forget that you know the answers. Nothing looks worse than a player who appears to know the answers.

Now that being said. I'm aware of what my weakness is and Coppa will love this. I'm a magnet for investigative roles, in half of the games I've played in, the cop has investigated me night 1. If there is a cop in this game and they know me, the odds are high that I'll be investigated. If I start falling into "town leader" status which tends to happen with how much I talk then that it is also likely that an investigator will want to look at me. It's likely that I will claim miller on day 1 unless anyone has strong objections. I'll do my usual opening post and give about an hour before "role claiming" since it would be terrible if there is a real miller and we suddenly have two miller claims. Hopefully they claim early as a miller is supposed to do and if that happens then fine, no harm no foul and I just hope that no investigator searches me. Now with that said, hey Roy, do we get a list of safe claims?

Ah,yes. I have to send a Role Name. So yuuup should probably prepare one. Tricky thibg is to create one thats believable and also possibly not being used already. Whoever checks me probably wouldn't reveal the info, but you never know. Dunno if roy gives us safe ones.

So you have to send a role name AND you appear as town. Hard to say if we are dealing with an alignment cop or role name cop (or god forbid both lol). Will probably still go with a miller claim for myself then. Would like to see any possible safe role list that Roy may give us. There are plenty of people in batman who could be a theoretical miller hopefully one matches up with the list we may get.

My pm specifically differs between a power that can see my role and one that sees my alignment. Of course with the hints towards multiple powers those could potentially both come from one and the same player.
