I'm writing a reads list and I just realized something. I'm willing to bet 100 american dollars that Flux is a PR. He's much more brash and brazen when he is ordinary because he thinks he can be sacrificial in that role. He's been extremely reserved so far this game but it was obvious last night that he was watching the thread carefully because when people were asking small housekeeping questions, he was answering instantly. Depends on whether he was willing to learn from Love Boat, I guess? But so far it's as good as a hint we have.

Reminds me of his play here so far. I know he isn't scum obviously so I'm guessing PR or neutral.

You're up to bat Coppa As I was writing that post, it became apparent that town Sorian would have put the vote there.

Hmm, yeah you'll have to transform soon then. Hey Pop or Roy, is Bane only an x-shot or can he technically always perform a strong kill but with a cool down day inbetween? He doesn't have a use limit, only the cool down.

He doesn't have a use limit, only the cool down. That's what I thought, so Karu, your transformation is up to you since it sounds like you want to send in that transform command today. With Bane being infinite shot, I would expect that we are going to alternate night kills between him and you (missing a kill as scum is disastrous) so a strong kill tonight, regular kill from you tomorrow, strong kill N3, etc. So you will be moving some nights and if you get investigated as a regular GCPD officer but show up on a movement report then you are screwed. I leave that choice to you though, it's a bit of a perfect storm for you to get caught out like that but the role cop only needs to see you as ordinary once and you only need to show up on a motion report once for town to have enough to kill you without a word of defense. If you do transform into a PR, we won't actually have to come up with your actual fake power until later so if you go that route, just please use one of the fake roles as Roy has them written in the second post of this thread. All I ask is that you save Azrael for me please

And, of course, you can only be ordinary once so that's something to keep in mind as well. Flipping through different PR names isn't the end of the world because we only have to come up with a story if you get investigated but once you use that gcpd transformation then you lose it at your next kill and that's that and you are the back-up killer for now if we want to make use of mine and Coppa's PRs.

I'm thinking of playing this game a lot less active than I have recently since I'm not quite sure I have the energy to go all in on this. Not sure I should point that out or not.

OK. I kind of went to bed around the time the games started, and drug my feet getting caught up on the thread. Anything you'd like me to address/point out in my first post of the game? Was thinking of putting my vote on Kark for all the Batcomputer nonsense, as well as making some peudo-reads on some other players (ie. calling out the odd closeness of Fireblend and Wee even with their history as lovers in Princessia).

They weren't lovers in princess Just two players that had a tiff but both ended up being town. But nah, otherwise, do what you do. Everyone has basically been cool on you since you haven't posted at all yet. Trigger is the only one voting for you but he claims it was 100% RNG which I still find odd since he happened to pick one of the two people who had never posted.

Kark will continue to wave his bat-dick in our face for the first couple day phases. I don't think he is batman though which makes me wonder how the game will go when the inevitable counter-claim or batman flip happens.

Things are proceeding well. I wonder if Kark knows that when he does this weird shit, scum feels more comfortable. Even if I seem scummy to him personally, general town sentiment is that he is insane. #blogging

About to post. Should I put a vote down on Kark? With that post, I think it would look weird if you didn't vote for him so yes. That being said, just be aware that you are opening yourself up to complaints that you are taking an easy vote because it reads more policy lynch-like than scum hunting.

Damn it Flame, I was doing so good at keeping conversation away from a cop potentially checking me. I was about as subtle as a brick pointing out that Xam and Kark are so difficult to read.

Ok, I thought of a batshit insane role claim while I was in the shower. This is definitely a "break glass in case of extreme emergency" type claim, only really good if one of us other than Karu gets investigated tonight and is found to be "not town" (if their is an alignment investigator and they get actual scum result then this role claim would be fucked).
This one definitely goes off the beaten path of the safe claims Roy gave us but I'm willing to bet anything that there is no town member in that game with this role. "Thomas Elliot, aka Hush" Now yes, I know, villain. BUT, it would make sense for a mafia game if we wiggle this right. A neutral doppelganger back-up. Before the end of night 2 (this is a smaller game so night 3 wouldn't make sense), you must select a player to copy. You are then told their alignment but not their role. If they should die, you take on their exact role going forward from their death, if they were ordinary then you are just ordinary, if they were a doctor, then cool town has a second doctor. If you happen to choose scum, you join the scum team but are not told who your teammates are and do not have access to the scum chat until the person you mimicked dies. The role PM doesn't say anything special about copying a neutral so you are unsure if there are any other neutrals in the game other than yourself. Once you copy someone, your win condition changes to whatever their's was. If you die before you get to copy someone then you are SOL and lose.
It's crazy but we have precedence from woof 2 and Flux had the buffed version of this role then so he would vouch for it. (The part about not knowing the other scum and not joining their chat right away is a nice meta touch since the complaint about the doppel in woof 2 was that it was too swingy in scum's favor if the role picked scum).
So yes, crazy role claim, definitely last ditch only to be used in the case of mass fire, ie getting alignment checked night 1 or night 2 but it is just crazy enough to delay the inevitable which is the best you can hope for when you get red checked.

So, here again for another 2-3hours.
I thought about my power.
I do not think I will get investigated tonight based on the current on goings or in general. They are indeed bigger fish to fry - if I don't die Day One through D1-shenanigans, I'll prop wriggle along and then go at the end. Either way... I don't feel comfortable wasting the one Ordinary option I have, if we switch up the Kill-option around..
I claim Ordinary: Tracker - Fucked; Alignment - Saved; Rolename - Saved; I claim Role: Tracker - Fucked; Alignment - Saved; Rolename - Saved; Do not Transform: Tracker - Saved; Alignment - Fucked; Rolename - Fucked; Kill Command: Tracker - Fucked; Alignment - Fucked; Rolename - Fucked;
I almost don't wanna Transform at all, but I guess I will go with a Role provided by Roy.
Either way, because it was mentioned in the thread - are we considered strong or weak scum, role-wise? Or neither?

Either way, because it was mentioned in the thread - are we considered strong or weak scum, role-wise? Or neither? Hard to gauge without knowing town's powers since Coppa's power is directly proportional to the strength of town since he is controlling them. Having no limit to strong kills except for a cool down is pretty good though.

On a scale of "men" to "awful" how bad an idea would it be for me to call out flame saying I'm playing much like myself from previous games? I think it's fairly apparent I'm less active than I have been in recent town proceedings.

I think it's fairly apparent I'm less active than I have been in recent town proceedings. You're less active period. Across any of your showings this is probably the least active I've ever seen you. You could probably spin that around on Flame fairly easily. My post in the thread is truth of course, I'll be gone a chunk of today while flying.
