This exactly. What have I done? There is currently only one person that could help them make sense of this mess, but that person would rather watch and laugh for now. At least I didn't cook this one up .

Remember before the game started, when everyone in your planning board was saying "No No No No No No No?" I mean, I said yes, but that's just because I love watching people suffer.

This game is truly best enjoyed from the sidelines, because it's a continual cycle of "You think that's crazy? You ain't seen nothing yet." 1. Player: "Oh, I'm Ordinary Town." Me: "Oh really, that sucks." (Try not to laugh, try not to laugh) 2. Player: "It sucks that Palmer had to drop out." Me: "Oh yeah, he would have enjoyed this game." (Try not to laugh, try not to laugh) 3. Player: "We didn't get a role flip for Zipped!" Me: "Oh, that's weird." (Try not to laugh, try not to laugh) 4. Player: "He killed nine people today!" Me: "I know, crazy, right!?" (Try not to laugh, try not to laugh) Also, if it wasn't a bastard game before, it is now (Try not to laugh, Try not to laugh.)

This is definitely more fun to watch than play at the moment. I still worry that people will just go "fuck this" and mass quit Day 4! If we get to day 4, its smooth sailing (day 12 I guess)

Retro, in the end game needs to be more fun to players than sidewatchers not the other way around. Which is why I just said "No." To this.
Still, have to admit it's funny to watch. I just don't think (island) players are having as much fun.

I'm just enjoying my position. (Besides, by the time I said "Yes" the game was already moving. Before that my response to looking at the setup was, and I quote, "my brain is full of bees.")

If something lie this was to happen again, I would probably quit. I can't play in a game where nothing you receive can be trusted. I can't play in a game where nothing you receive can be trusted. Thats pretty much the definition of Bastard though :/ The start of this game is tough to play through, but as it goes on things should make more and more sense. Not that I don't understand the frustration - I just think a certain amount of frustration should be expected in this kind of thing. You basically need to "trust" the game-runner that there is a sensible game underneath, despite the frustrating portions. (And I still think/hope that is the case, time will tell.) Maybe that should have been explained at the start, I don't know. Anyhoo, glad to see town has gotten down to some scumhunting, things look more stable now, and scum are getting a good amount of heat considering the huge advantages they currently have.

If that's the case town on the island is going to get demoralized real quick. They are at their lowest point already Tim, don't get complacent just yet

Considering the people they have, scum is doing horribly. Maybe they're not really trying or something, but it makes me feel really good about my scum play in past games.
My town play needs work though. FYI, how was I gonna talk my way out of today? By fake claiming cop and scraficing someone I thought was scum. Probably nin1000.
Edit:Czar pulled back, but he's fucked the second Blarg flips.

Scum's information advantage is SO huge that they need to be careful to tip toe around it, Blarg's overshare is almost a disadvantage. And I was annoyed at that unhelpful town PR yesterday, but laying low for a bit could work nicely in catching scum off guard (without spoiling anything I'm talking about your PR LoC) I like how this is going

btw, would that plan that was shortly discussed in the scum chat work? Just bus all of the scum islanders to get a majority in the afterlife? Because the game seems pretty much done afterwards unless you flush in another wave of town islanders.

Because the game seems pretty much done afterwards unless you flush in another wave of town islanders. It can, but it's very high risk. Scum can't kill people on the island directly - only by a public vote. So they'd need to vote them off the island without having them voted off the afterlife. If they pull it off it's possible to win by day 4, but they'd need some luck on top of good play. (It also wouldn't necessarily end the game straight away) I'm glad they figured it out, but I'd be surprised if they attempt it

They start metagaming on ridli being a new player coming from another community over in the afterlife. At some point I personally think you should announce that it is Palmer. This could lead to actively influenced wrong reads. But get other opinions first, so I won't end up being solely responsible for the decision
