Day thing is most likely a countdown (probably a hidden lose condition for town - or possibly everyone), though we won't have confirmation of a countdown till next day phase. If it ends up counting up then it's clearly something else (or nothing at all.) Countdown until the volcano erupts seems likely Hadn't thought of this. I could still do it but probably won't. Would need 10 days anyway

Actually, what if scum were told the town win condition? And not giving the role PM in here was to lure us into thinking that we could confirm townies like this? I like you Crimson, you're good at this. You're still wrong, but thats close I guess

You pretty much screwed up 100% with the game in general. :P

I'm surprised they are taking Sorian's death so seriously. Thought his resurrection made it an obvious joke (plus his opening post made it clear he expected to revive)

I'm playing catch up, but what, if anything, does Sorian know now?
EDIT: You can answer me in PM if you prefer.

Well I'm pretty happy with how the first day has started, I hope people aren't too mad when they realise it was all a complete waste of time... Everyone thinks they are ordinary town, real roles haven't even been assigned yet *whistles*

Personally I hope scum has the same knowledge our town PR seem to have (assuming Sorian and Castamere are town). Then I hope that one of them pulls a Czartim and provides all that information to the rest of town. I dislike sitting in the dark. For the record, I hate this too and would never intentionally use PRs that create this situation. There is one role in this game that "could" get that way, but if they don't share everything they know then they're playing it wrong.

Wow Retro you weren't kidding when you said it was a madhouse. Everyone is so focused on Sorian's self resuscitation. So everyone what's your spirit animal? I think we all know what mine is. It's a penguin. Slide!

Why the fuck are they actively discussing the idea of creating a tie? In what kind of world will that ever work? The only reason scum would let that happen is if it hits two townies. In any other case the involved people will flick around and bring up some bullshit of not feeling comfortable with voting one of the two. This is bound to be a mess. SOMEONE has to see this and bring an end to the double vote-tie discussion... it's not happening unless it's bad for town.

If they find time to discuss two lynch targets in a day and lock in their votes early, anyone getting in the way of that would look extremely suspect. It will be a waste if they use it D1 though. I think the ideal situation would be one of those where you have an obvious scum to vote, so you can still argue over the second target and not "waste" the day.

Nah, that "obvious" scum target could easily boycott the plan. Just a single vote wandering off in the last minute/seconds and it was all for nothing. Or somebody else could just fuck up, make an excuse etc. Imagine the whole coordination necessary... it's impossible I tell you. It's a bad plan. Not happening, mate. Everyone discussing this scenario is wasting time. Also why is Sorian acting scummy on purpose again? Every single time... --- Splinter everyone is thinking they are ordinary town? Nobody is scum? Do we even have a scum team at this point? This is amazing! All the talk, all the theories and accusations aren't worth shit! hahaha :D
Will you tell them the truth at the end of the day?

I have no idea what Sorian is doing, he keeps making me think he has somehow had spoilers (even though he's 99% wrong, when he does say something close to the truth it scares the shit out of me) It will most probably get him lynched before long. Liars are going to have a bad time in this game. Yup, all ordinary town. No need for an example PM when everyone has received the same thing The actual roles haven't even been assigned yet (yes including scum), I'm waiting for the first lynch to be out of the way first. I won't tell town the truth straight away, but they will find out on Day 4 as long as the Shaman isn't completely incompetent.

RNG'ing all the roles is the most important thing in games .

Splinter :D This is hilarious! Can't wait to see the reactions. A planned double lynch will be hard to pull off no matter the circumstances. Just to get it out here: I love roy! He's a clever owl :) So Sorian is inventing bs to suss out scum as always, never to be trusted. It's amazing how they already adress Sorian as if he's an instance to clarify stuff. Darryl seems to go after this kind of posting style, he either isn't as aggressive as in previous games or I'm getting used to it. Are we keeping up the spoiler tags up? I don't mind, but the missing spoiler button is a bit uncomfortable.

Watching Sorian dig his grave will never get old, but even that is worrying me now. I don't want people believing that I would pick and choose roles like some are suggesting. That ain't Mafia

Relax, everything is going to be fine :) Everyone expects your game to be broken, so no pressure on that front ;) Two questions: 1) What kind of vote tool/script do you use? Is it similar to Royal's? 2) If everyone got the same pm, what was the issue with Palmer? Watching Sorian dig his grave will never get old, but even that is worrying me now. I don't want people believing that I would pick and choose roles like some are suggesting. That ain't Mafia That's something I've seen before. People will always assume shit about the mod and naturally the mod doesn't want to take it, but for the sake of the game just let them ramble about how unfair you could be. They'll see you didn't do anything cheesy with the distribution of roles when the game is done. Right now they just want to blame anyone and you're a perfect target... incapable of defending yourself. Try to be above it :)

Unbalanced is one thing, I'm more worried about it simply not working or not being Mafia. But we will see. I think its ok, but can't be certain for a couple of days at least.
1) I record the votes in the spreadsheet manually. I use an excel macro to convert that page into a forum post. 2) The PM I sent to Palmer started with "Welcome nin!"
Also I don't think it was the PM alone. It was his decision to leave the game at that point.

I suppose this IS a bastard game. In which case, it is probably imbalanced and whether we win or not comes down to the work our PR do. Bah someone correct this fool. I advertised scumhunting, not role madness

Random thought. First spirit animal from a group to die becomes scum. Thats why theres not a no-lynch option. Maybe sorian was modkilled and became scum which is how he got extra info already. He literally has had two role pms. Wrong, but another nice guess
