So I feel like maybe I should address that a bit more, because looking back, I think in my haste I gave some incorrect information.
One of the players in another game figured out that by looking at players who were online on Outer Gafia, but had no actual posts on the board, he could figure out who was mafia in his game. He wasn't entirely wrong, but he also wasn't entirely correct. He came forward to the game runners, and so we moved to fix it. This is why if you look at the Members page, you can no longer see when someone was last online, or if they are online now.
No one other than the mafia and the game staff are able to actually read this forum. Your identities are as safe as I can make them.
EDIT: The profile view might honestly have been me. I've been double-checking what information is available from profiles to try and patch any other holes, and you are at the top of the list.
First of all, you are all forbidden from saying any derivative of the word "jail" in the main thread. No "I voyeured Makai and he was jailed last night." No "I wonder if there's a Jailor in this game." Anyone who says "jail" will be lynched along with me. It is straight-up banned, no exceptions. The good news is I made a sick deal with Jailor, which I will explain later.
No bussing each other. It never works.
Don’t follow my lead on votes. Just vote for whoever but don’t let our votes and suspicions clump up. Form your own narratives.
Do not encourage people from disclosing their roles. This is known as role-fishing. Role information disproportionately benefits Mafia. Anyone caught doing this is likely scum. Town will roleclaim without our help so don't get your hands dirty.
Resist disclosing your role, but when you do just give them a town-aligned version of your role.
lollipopdave, you need to be our dedicated killer if you do not have any special abilities. Your role name is Ordinary Villager.
Cabot, your role is not rubbish at all. Knowing what power roles exist is very beneficial.
Sophia, you have the best role. If you survive to the late-game, we win. If you are ever forced to use your role, claim you can only use your ability once. That should help arrest suspicion of your alignment.
I was a Neutral in the Star Wars game whose win condition was to protect 1 specific player. They had to survive AND win for me to win. That player was Raindoc. He was scum. I sort of carried him for the last 2 days or so of the game. It was a REALLY bizarre ending.
Note that I had no idea what his alignment was, and the scum team actually tried to kill me. I also helped town lynch 2 of the 4 scum before I realized who was who.
Palmer did his damnedest to shift discussion away from raindoc whenever blame was thrown his way.
I'll go into more detail later, but the summary of last night is:
Jailor's prisoner is roleblocked Jailor's prisoner cannot be targeted by anyone else Jailor communicates anonymously to prisoner in a private chat Jailor can execute their prisoner
Jailor is my buddy and we're not killing him until late-game. I gave Jailor a gameplan and he agreed to it. I do not know Jailor's identity, but he will discretely reveal himself using a codeword when the time is right. He's going to execute random Town members and stick up for me when I'm on trial.
