Also, he is correct. Day 1 is usually just Town clinging on to any little thing they can since they are thrown in to the game completely in the dark. Subsequent Day phases aren't as nitpicky, which is why Day 1 is typically fairly difficult for Scum. At least that's how it feels to me.

It's a term for when your role PM is revealed to the main thread. So when you 'flip' is when you get killed/lynched and your role PM is shown to the rest of the players. c:

Also, since we are coming down to the last 20-ish hours of Day 1, what is everything thinking for Night Actions so far? It is a little early to really put a definitive 'we should do X' but given our timezone differences I feel like we should at least get this started now. I'm thinking: Kill: Bronx Poison: Kryptik Roleblock: Kalor Track ( hopefully ) : Crab Bronx gives little info since he hasn't done much, although you could argue to keep him around because his reads are 50/50 most of the time and he typically acts scummy even when he is Town. I'm not 100% for his kill but I'm not feeling strongly on anybody else either. Kryptik is A+ on his read of Burb and I and he has some incredibly solid logic which could become an issue later. If he doesn't get lynched today I'm not opposed to poisoning him since killing him out-right might bring attention to his read. However, if he is informed of his poisoned status this might embolden him and solidify his reads. Roleblocking Kalor also calls him out, which is mainly why I want to target him or anyone who is very quiet. I think the sudden massive influx of attention could lead to his lynch or at least shift focus long enough to where we could blend more. Hopefully we get QB back here or resolved or whatever, but assuming we have access to our Tracking power I would like to target Crab. I'm not really good at guessing who has a PR and who doesn't, so this is mostly just based on the fact that he may become a Town Leader at one point and knowing whether he moves or not will help us decide when we need to kill him. I can agree that Kryptik is gonna be a tough one to handle. Not sure how to approach dealing with them yet. I think I can agree with blocking Kalor, just because I want people to be more active. I'm not sure about Bronx and Crab. I don't know Bronx but I would be okay with keeping around someone whose generally seen as scummy. With Crab, eh I guess I'm fine with that, though I'm not sure if we'll actually have that tracking ability at our disposal. I don't really know any good targets. I would be curious with finding out Pop's role, but it feels like that might be a waste.

I think I'm a bit too late now but I probably should have asked if you will be here for Day End, Evilisk. If you aren't able to be here, due to timezones or some other activity, it's totally fine but I wanted to ask.
You've probably already seen it before, but Day End usually kicks up the activity level and votes move around like crazy in those last few hours. This is also a prime time where Scum get caught since votes move around so much, so my only advice for Day End is as long as you can back-up your vote and it makes sense with your train of thought in the main thread you'll be alright. Like if you said you wouldn't vote for Burb early on but then in the last 30 minutes you jumped and voted for Burb without a good explanation. Stuff like that.
But really, given how weird this game is activity-wise I'm half expecting a dead quiet Day End. :x

I'm actually a bit worried about not being up in time for Day End. My sleep schedule has been all out of whack recently (I've been setting alarms but I've just been waking up later than I was supposed to, with no memory of turning any alarms off).
And yeah I'm aware that Day End can be a flurry of activity. Despite how weirdly paced this game has been so far, I'm fully expecting it to get really busy.
Oh God I really hope I wake up on time. I'm gonna be really mad (at myself) if I end up getting lynched because of something like that (and in a game that apparently has it good for Aus timezones too)

Also giving an A+ to combine. I didn't intentionally mean to put it that way but I did want to test and see if people were willing to jump on his lynch train.
He is very paranoid though, something that can come in handy if others jump on him. c:

I'm keeping my thoughts on QB and what happened there until post game and the review thread, especially because now there isn't much than can be done about it.
Our main issue now is keeping Evilisk alive and picking our Night targets. I'm going to go over the thread again later and see what I can find in terms of hints/breadcrumbs and I would encourage you both to do the same. Day Start isn't for a while but we still need to discuss what our best course of action is.
Also, as a side note, Day Start is on Thanksgiving for us Americans so I won't really be around during that time and I'm guessing a couple others won't be as well.
For now I'm going to take a step back from the game. I'm getting incredibly frustrated and that's not a good way to play so I'll be back in a while once I've cooled off.

Okay, team huddle everyone We need a game plan, folks. Put on our war faces here. Not gonna lie, we are in a very weird spot right now. Evilisk is getting a lot of heat at the moment and from my cursory read of the last day it seems the only reason he was not voted out was because of his 'New Player' status and with Day 2 all those meta restrictions will be gone. So, we need a plan. One that will hopefully keep Evilisk alive for a while longer and keep Town on their toes and hopefully get those innocent little Townies lynched instead. Burb and I have the benefit of being on the QB lynch train, although we are still being gut read as Scum by a few folks here and there so we need to be vigilant. I've got a few ideas how we can execute a plan and get through Day 2, centered around our Night Actions and what we can do in the main thread. First order of business: Fantastic Night Actions and Where to Find ThemSO our Track is gone but we don't need to fret too much about that, we still have our Roleblock, Poison, and NK. At the moment, without having read too deeply into Day 1 for breadcrumb hunting, I feel we should: Poison: Combine Kill: Lord of Castamere Roleblock: Kalor OR Bronx Why these targets, you may ask? Poison is best used on someone who we don't want to take out just yet but want to have gone in the near-ish future. Combine fits this profile, as does Kryptik. However, I feel like Kryptik will be getting some heat tomorrow just like he was this Day phase due to his actions and Combine can also be placed in a similar vein. The problem with Combine is that he was the 3rd person in a row to do an OMGUS and it would be hard pressed to convince people that a Scum Team would not warn their new player Combine that OMGUS is bad, especially when others already got heat for that move. Therefore, I think he is a good target BUT I am not 100% on his death quite yet. I want to re-read first but this was my initial pick when I thought it over. Subject to change. Lord of Castamere as a kill. Again, subject to change when I get time to re-read things but I feel like he is a decent choice. A strong player and can defend himself well when pressed so it would be difficult to get him lynched out-right. I do want to try and get him because QB threw him into his reads list with terrible reasons and I feel I can use that against him. I also want to stay away from top posters/Top Townies like Crab/Coppa/CornBro ( The Three Cs ) because if there is a Doctor they will most likely be on one of them or even Burb and I. ROLEBLOCK. I think trying to predict any form of Night Action the Night before it happens is going to be an impossible, blind fire task. We will essentially be shooting in the dark with it and I don't feel it's incredibly useful that way, where I do feel it is useful is in the Call-Out mechanic. Since there hasn't been any dissenting opinions on the Call-Out Gambit ( i'll come up with a cool name later ) other than not doing it on Night 1 I want to go through with it. This means we need to set that up now. The gambit would, if the stars align, go like this: - We Roleblock/Call-Out Kalor - Day 2 he gest heat because people are confused and maybe end up lynching him - Night 2 we Roleblock/Call-Out Burb - Same thing, although less likely to be lynched - Evilisk gets lynched and the game knows that the Call-Out is tied to Scum. Scum wouldn't roleblock their own etc etc - ???? - Profit For that to work convincingly we need To have our first Roleblock target be someone who makes rational sense that we would roleblock. Picking someone at random doesn't work, we need someone that Town would believe we had reasonable suspicion to think had a PR. I would prefer if this person was low-activity, simply because Town would spend a bunch of time trying to get answers that would ultimately end up nowhere, BUT if no good breadcrumbs can be found I'm fine with picking a more active person. BUT for this to work effectively we need to focus on our main task ahead: keeping Evilisk alive. For that I hope you will enjoy the soon-to-be-released feature film Rogue Evilisk: A Pop Wars Story
that will detail what I have in mind for that brb

Rogue Evilisk: A Pop Wars Story focuses on a trio of dashing young rebels fighting the oppressive regime of #SlayQueen Imperials trying to force their musical wishes upon the galaxy. Burbeting, the stoic-yet-kind Bear, Sawneeks, the #PunkQueen, and Evilisk, the Rebel Underdog, combat the evil #SlayImperials such as Lord of the Synth 'Darth Crab' and Grand Admiral Combine in hopes of freeing the galaxy from musical tyranny. But first, they need a plan... Our main focus will need to be protecting Evilisk. I won't say his lynch is a sure-fire thing this coming Day phase, I don't believe many people ended a vote on him actually, but it is a possibility and it's one I want to avoid. FIRST, Burb and I will keep doing what we're doing and try to pin the focus of Town elsewhere for Day 2. We have plenty of options now considering QB flipped and there were a couple people who did not vote for him, voted for him late, and his reads list that we can use to our advantage. Hopefully it will be enough but it's really going to depend on activity. The only Scum game I really played was one in which Scum was able to blend in due to having Town Leaders who made so much noise it was easy to slip between the cracks. This is not an option here, not when every little post stays on a page for hours on end and can be looked at over and over. An influx of post would do us good but, unfortunately, I don't think we will get that. So this is where the next part comes in and it's all on Evilisk. From my read over of Day 1 it seems that most people were suspicious of Evilisk due to a couple main things: - Backing Down and general agree-ability that felt like you didn't want to step on people's toes. - Contradictions. It was pointed out you made a comment being worried about talking too much and ending up dying, yet you have one of the higher post counts in the game. - No other targets appeared. These are what we need to change. I feel like you can do this in a few ways, but most importantly it would be to vote and to stick to your vote. I'm not saying just stubbornly sit on your vote until the Day Phase ends but I think showing a little tiny bit of stubbornness will help you here. A Townie wouldn't be afraid to get down-and-dirty with their vote if they believe they have a hunch that a person is Scum so showing some reluctance to get in to a fight tells other people you have something to hide that you don't want to let out or lose. Don't be afraid of confrontation. It's a hard lesson to learn, especially if you are very nervous when playing Scum for the first time because it can feel like one person getting angry at you or Scum Reading you means the entire game can see the same thing. This is almost never the case even if it feels that way some times. Just breathe, walk away from the game for a bit if you need to, and then come back and reply. If a Townie, or even Burb and I, challenge you don't be afraid to stick to your opinion and fight for it. There is also one more thing you need and this is one that might take some practice. You will need to be consistent and find the perfect balance between what you did on Day 1 and what you will need to do the following Day phases to not be suspected. If you went from your Day 1 self to what I suggested above people would call you out on that change and believe you were coached and lynch you for it. Consistency is what gets you through the game in the long run, keeping up with what you do every Day phase so it looks natural and not like you're lying to their face. So while I do think that voting more and being more firm with your opinions will get you in a better position, it's not something you can do instantly and you will need to gradually implement this over time. If you have questions or concerns or anything about this, just ask. We are here as a team and to help one another but we can't do that unless we all talk.

Ending Credit Teaser Spoiler: It Was Thanos Again
Some thoughts:
- While Burb and I are on the QB train I don't feel this will get us far. I basically ignored QB for most of the Day and then suddenly jumped on his lynch with, what I felt, was a rather poor reason for doing so. Typically the #ScumTells I worry over never get brought to attention but it's something I feel might happen regardless. Similarly, Burb jumped on QB rather late ( he was the last to vote besides Kalor ) but he has sound reasoning behind it. Burb, did you ever bring up the reads list in the main thread?
- Kalor's QB vote can be constructed as a late bus. Lynch target?
- Crab is untouchable right now. He leads the vote on QB and is Town Read by most. He isn't getting lynched anytime soon.
- The Pop Enigma. He's either fishing for a Night Kill on himself, has some sort of ability that activates upon his Lynch, wanted to start an easy train to catch Scum, OR is being suspicious to get by in the Night Phases without getting killed because he has a Cop/Doctor PR. I want to see what he does on Day 2 but the mystery surrounding his action worries me.
- Cops scare me. Doctors are annoying. A Poison Cure probably exists and that sucks.
- After what happened on the QB vote I think we learned two things. One, that a few people are stubborn on their votes and won't move ( Coppa, LoC, and CCS ) despite it being a little suspicious. Two, I feel like people jumped on the lynch target last minute, meaning that if we can get someone suitably suspicious to lead the vote towards a Day End we will be okay. We just need to get people to that point.
- maroon 5 is ok

Alright team, hands in the center now. We got this. Day 2 is coming up and we got some #SlayQueens to put in their place. We have the basis for a game plan and we can work it out before we head out back into the war zone. I'll be back later tonight to read over Day 1 and refine the ideas I had for Night Actions and whatnot, also respond to anything but I think with how timezones are I might be the only one here for a while. brb in like 6 hours i guess

Okay, re-read all of Day 1. It was kinda nice it was so short since it only took about 25 minutes to read in full. But I need to apologize for that QB vote. I didn't realize at the time that there was an easy out with a Pop and a Flame Vote since both were on the brink of gaining traction before I went and voted for QB. I can give excuses up and down for it but it was a fuck up on my end, I'm really sorry about that. Where I now stand on Night Actions: Kill: Combine, LoC, or Haly Poison: Haly Roleblock: Bronx The Kill: Combine is a pick because he has some sound logic from the little he has said but his death also doesn't give much for Town to work with since he really didn't post a whole lot. He was also the last OMGUS, meaning I doubt he will get any heat for it and because QB ended his vote there. Haly is also a good kill target because of his inactivity for most of the game, meaning Town is left with nothing to look back at. HOWEVER, if Haly is NKed then any advances towards LoC will not work because he ended his vote on Haly and 'why would Scum kill someone they had a vote on?'. Which brings me to LoC. Middle-of-the-road activity, ends on Haly, and just didn't do much overall. Would give little info and would take out a player who I personally feel could give us some trouble later on. Coppa also isn't a bad pick here. Generally Town Read but not to a point where a Doctor would be on him ( I think that honor goes to Crab atm ) so removing him takes out one of the least suspicious players currently in the game and leaves Town with more uncertain faces and general sense of distrust. Good if we want to take out those darn Town Read Townies. Poison: Kryptik is still my pick. Made some damn good observations and would rather get him out of the way at some point. However, he was also getting slightly Scum Read so if he does get lynched the poison will have been wasted. Two alternatives: Crab and Haly. Don't ask me 'why Haly', the idea just struck me as I was typing and my gut says it's a good idea for some reason and I like to trust my gut on these things. Crab is also a good pick: Town Read and can be the Town Leader. However, I think he has the highest likelihood of having a Doctor on him tonight and we have no idea if Poison works through a Doctor's protection. Actually, I'm changing my mind but keeping my original thoughts above. Let's Poison Haly, get him out of the way at some point so why not do it now. Isn't Scum read/Town Read, didn't do much, a very 'null' player so far. It just feels right to me. Roleblock: I'm of two minds here. One, roleblocking Bronx would bring him forward since he really just disappeared the end part of Day 1 and get him to the spot light. It also casts doubt as to what the 'Call-Out' really means because he was the first person to really question QB's 'joke' and had his vote on him by Day End. Two, it sort of 'confirms' he is Town since he gets a weird 'effect' on him at Day Start and also had his vote on a Scum Player at Day End. Can be constructed that he is inactive scum who let his partner die because he just wasn't there but I'm not sure it will fly. tl;dr Kill: LoC ( IF poisoning Kryptik, kill Combine instead ) Poison: Haly ( IF killing Combine, poison Kryptik instead ) Roleblock: Bronx Getting LoC and Haly out of the way ties up the QB loose end by removing his Day End vote ( Haly ) and also taking care of LoC who was the only one suspicious of Haly. And once Haly gets poisoned it will be clear that LoC is Town because Scum would never target the player they have 1 vote on. Books-ends that chapter right there. But I do want to hear the opinions from both of you on what we should do this Night Phase.

Oh, before I go to bed I did notice one more thing.
The whole 'Evilisk is Scum who keeps backing down' did not gain traction until Burb made his post about it. In fact, no one had brought that up at all up until that point and then afterwards it was a cascade of 3 or 4 people all saying they felt Evilisk was suspicious due to 'backing down too much'.
We have a shocking amount of power with what we say in this game right now. I don't know if it's because Town is looking for a Leader or what but our words hold a ton of weight so we really need to watch what we say and do. We can easily use this power to our advantage though.
with great power comes great responsibility or something idk
good night u_u

(That was a lot of text to go through.)
=On how I've been playing, it's actually really weird to hear that I'm too agreeable. I wasn't aiming to be that, I just posted like how I'd normally post on GAF (Now I'm going to be super conscious of my posts, even outside of PopMafia D:)
=On being confrontational, I'll try to keep that in mind. I'm actually not very confrontational at all normally (like, forget GAF and it's strict mods, I'm just a quiet person by nature). I do think I'll find it easier to be confrontational on Day 2. It was just really hard for me on Day 1 because there was fucking nothing to work with (everyone being inactive didn't help things). At least I'll have Day 1's results to work with.
=On night targets... The only opinion I have is that I'm a bit wary of poisoning Kryptik. He's definitely a tough customer, but I think if there's one advantage we can take of, it's that there is some suspicion on them right now.
Unless they're somehow not notified about the poison, I feel like poisoning them would basically prove their Townness to some of the other players and would basically remove all of heat from them.
I also think Kryptik double down on their suspicion of Burbeting/it'd draw everyone's attention to kryptik's suspicion of Burbeting (since they had a very strong opinion of Burb on Day 1)
I do want to deal with Kryptik but I think that poisoning might not be the best way to go about it/it might not be the best time to do it now.
=As for the rest, I would be okay with killing Castamere, and calling out/blocking Bronx.
The only hazard I see with killing LoC is that people might think my change in attitude towards Castamere might be because I knew he was going to die or something like that (it's probably a reach, but I'm paranoid enough to think it could happen)
I'm also okay calling out Bronx, mostly because it's been super annoying have such an inactive game, and they'd be forced to talk for even a bit.
And with poison, go with whatever. I'm not gonna argue if we decide to go with Kryptik, I just wanted to share my thoughts on that pick specifically.
