Okay, listen up #DIVAS.
Scum has the big advantage that we are a #group. We can talk together, scheme and create plans and stuff.
But that won't happen if half of us are silent as snails.
I'm just asking for QB to come here and contribute to the case. I hope Lisk will talk too. Together we are strong, divided we are weak.

I'm going to ask LoC and kryptik why they scum read me though.
i don't feel like i've done anything overtly scummy any way :x

Sorry about not posting much, I've been really preoccupied with the Game thread and how to approach this.
This is sooo stressful. It's much more than I was expecting.
I just wanted to play as a first timer townie. I guess I still am, but now I've been playing up that angle so hard that it's starting to get draining tbqh :/

(I pressed submit too early)
Doesn't help that the only person that doesn't seem to be in someone's line of sight currently (QuantumBro) hasn't even popped up in this thread yet :/
It doesn't feel like I'm very good at playing scum so far...

Don't worry Evilisk, you're doing fine! It can often feel like everyone on the Town side knows you're lying but trust me, they are uncertain and wary. Most of those reads lists change as time goes on. c:
We still have a lot of time until Day end as well, so there isn't too much to really worry over right now. It does suck that QB hasn't really shown up at all, but hopefully we can get that all resolved soon.
In the meantime, talking here is our best attribute like Burb pointed out. Even if it's just little things here and there, keeping in communication will help in the long run.

Wow, I'm actually really impressed with Kryptik's reply there. I don't really know how to respond to that.
And he's basically right about Burb, even if Burb pointing out the OMGUS wasn't him trying to save me.
Damn
we should kill him :x

Ya, Kryptik is pretty good player. Although I do think his logic is faulty, I would be against OMGUS votes no matter my alignment.

Well, good news is his OMGUS vote is starting to get people against him and away from you.
bad news is the game is still deader than dead.

Sorry, I'm riding this Evillisk bus at least for now. I really had to put my vote on some solid ground, Crab excuse wasn't going to last any longer.

Never be afraid to post, people! It's more honorable to get caught due to your posts than to be caught due to being inactive and scared.

While the Crab vote is a bit worrying, I'm relieved that at least LoC has dropped the case for now
Anyway, it seems like Crab really wants me to vote. (Since he switched his vote from Corn very quickly)
Does anyone have any ideas on who I should vote on? I'm leaning towards Kryptik so far, though I'm not sure if that's a good idea right now. I think it'd make me look kinda bad, since I've been playing the newbie card and sorta being pairing myself with CCS. I think it's gonna be weird if I pounce on Kryptik now, maybe

Also, since Corn is doing it, I'm also considering voting Pop-O-Matic. I feel like that might be a better option because 1) I've already mentioned him before in one of my previous posts in the thread (so I think that'd be a good leap in logic if people were to go back and read through my posts) and 2) he's not a new player like kryptik (so I'd feel a bit more comfortable about that)
I'll try to wait before voting to hear everyone's thoughts on this (I don't want to wait too long though because of Crab's pressure vote)

Welp something unexpected came up. Since I'm going to be away for the next three hours, I'm gonna have to vote now (I don't want to vote before my quiet period [10PM-7AM], since I'd like some time to gauge the reactions to my post) so yeah. Gonna go with Pop O Matic on the vote.
EDIT: Nevermind, the thing didn't end up panning out.
Gonna get my post ready instead

So sorry for not getting back to you earlier Evilisk, I was away all day at a Bridal Shower. ;__;
My advice is go with what feels genuine in regards to your vote. If you feel like you would vote for someone and can reasonably back-up why you think they are Scummy then I say vote for them. Try not to follow the popular vote target just because everyone else is, that's typically considered bandwagoning and is often seen as really Scummy.
Basically, whenever you can tell the truth as opposed to lying always, always, always go for the truth. It's much easier to convey feeling genuine in your thoughts and much easier to back them up if you're being honest about your vote/read/opinions/etc. Voting someone 'just because everyone else is' is a lot harder to back up when confronted about it and if you aren't able to defend your own vote it's often looked on as Scummy.

also, if my advice isn't making any sense please let me know.
I'm having trouble trying to really explain how to play Scum since it's mostly just 'do what Town you would do' and I don't want to confuse you any further

I made a big deal about making a post yesterday (even though that didn't happen)
Well my internet stopped working completed yesterday. I was actually really worried it wouldn't be working today as well, but thankfully it is. (Yay for unnecessary stress...)
I should probably have some backup plan (like maybe using my phone credit instead) just in case that happens again.
Also the amount of inactivity isn't normal is it?
I wonder if that's part of the game as well (along with QB not popping up). It'd be really weird if it was though...

No, usually games are nowhere near this quiet. Or, if anything, they become quiet on Day 5 or so if Town don't lynch any Scum since morale is usually low at that point. I doubt it really has anything to do with game mechanics.

After Crab's post I would recommend getting your vote down though. Either way you're going to probably get heat for it 'you just voted to get pressure off of you' or 'you didn't vote and that's scummy' but if it's enough to get you in the clear for Day End it should be alright. I'm hoping we can shift everything just enough to get Kryptik/CCS/Combine lynched instead, get through Day 1 unscathed.

Well that's super annoying (getting singled out in a game with a lot of inactive players that is)

I'll try shift my vote to combine then
I don't think I could get away with voting CCS. Same with kryptik

Also, since we are coming down to the last 20-ish hours of Day 1, what is everything thinking for Night Actions so far?
It is a little early to really put a definitive 'we should do X' but given our timezone differences I feel like we should at least get this started now.
I'm thinking: Kill: Bronx Poison: Kryptik Roleblock: Kalor Track ( hopefully ) : Crab
Bronx gives little info since he hasn't done much, although you could argue to keep him around because his reads are 50/50 most of the time and he typically acts scummy even when he is Town. I'm not 100% for his kill but I'm not feeling strongly on anybody else either.
Kryptik is A+ on his read of Burb and I and he has some incredibly solid logic which could become an issue later. If he doesn't get lynched today I'm not opposed to poisoning him since killing him out-right might bring attention to his read. However, if he is informed of his poisoned status this might embolden him and solidify his reads.
Roleblocking Kalor also calls him out, which is mainly why I want to target him or anyone who is very quiet. I think the sudden massive influx of attention could lead to his lynch or at least shift focus long enough to where we could blend more.
Hopefully we get QB back here or resolved or whatever, but assuming we have access to our Tracking power I would like to target Crab. I'm not really good at guessing who has a PR and who doesn't, so this is mostly just based on the fact that he may become a Town Leader at one point and knowing whether he moves or not will help us decide when we need to kill him.

Don't try to force your vote too much to fit our agenda. I'm just musing out loud, really.
Go with what makes sense to you. At this point, voting for someone you think is scummy will help you look Townie. Cast your vote and explain why you don't like/trust that person, give examples if you can.
