how does this make sense in a world where ridli is scum? this isn't an alignment test, it's a role name test. if ridli is scum, then scum have Ordinary Villager too (because Splinter isn't lying about role text). ridli really should've flipped with a scum role name. if being a medium makes you a miller, shouldn't we have alignment cops and not role name cops?

About the role PM's not being completely RNG: I said that because during that time, there was a bit of discussion about "would splinter do weird shit to be funny?", and based on a coincidence in my role PM I had reasons to think that was a possibility. I never pushed anyone to say if they had the same feeling, Scrafty did that completely on her own accord. Also, scrafty already said at that point that she would be OK with dying, which is kind of a soft claim in itself. can you now elaborate on this since you claim to be ordinary on D1. |

Alright, so, I think it is time for me to come clean: I am the medium, I took the deal night 1. This will be a huge role claim, so I will separate it in separate parts. The offerI originally was an ordinary towny on day 1 ( the coincidence in my role pm I talked about referred to my spirit animal, not my role). On night 1, I got offered a deal: I would get a very important role, but it would have downsides. If I refused the deal, it would be offered to another person the following night. I took the deal. |

This game would be broken if town had no way of communicating with the other thread. How would we find out about it otherwise? People who got abilities have collaborated that there is some connection with the dead.
Like I suppose roy could be scum and lied about the whole other thread voting out living player thing to cover up why he hasn't / won't die, but then what tools do town have here to know what's going on? If this is a scum gambit I kind of don't care because this game would be dumb.

If this is a scum gambit I kind of don't care because this game would be dumb. this is just another reason why i'm not accepting roy's stuff right away. having the role pass itself around beginning on night 1 creates huge problems. first, what if roy denied the role n1? it'd disappear until n2 by his claim, and then what happens if there was a subsequent denial OR if the night kill lines up with the player chosen? this is reinforcing what i think is ridiculous, that there's a scenario where this could be kept from town for that much longer. personally, i'm humoring the scenario where roy is scum and wanted to lay low. however, ridill has forced roy's hand. if roy was pressed today and hadn't come forward of his own will, he'd look scummy. if role fuckery came up over the next few days and roy hadn't said anything, he'd look scummy. if roy continued to deny the role, the dead could possibly kill him themselves. ridill's scenario is actually 1000x more believable than what roy is suggesting. this power needed to find an owner, asap. there's no point in this role being a CHOICE if there were going to be major consequences for when it was DENIED, it needed to seek a second owner THAT NIGHT. otherwise, splinter would have forced roy to take the role, which wasn't what happened. |
