Alright, I think it is time to plop down a vote: VOTE: Xamtheking The two main reasons he votes for me is my speculation about the win condition and me not wanting to lynch Sorian. The first reason is funny since he himself has a lot of speculation about win conditions based on the fluff and how ours is worded in a weird way, but when I speculate about the same thing it is suddenly suspect? Ok then. The second reason is also weird, because he seems to believe Sorian being town, but me not wanting to lynch sorian is suddenly a scum tell? I don't want to lynch sorian since we would waste a lynch and probably help scum get rid of Sorian. If lynching Sorian was beneficial for town and he himself was town, he would be campaigning way harder for us to lynch him. He isn't. So either lynching him is not good for town or Sorian is not town, and for now I am willing to believe Sorian is town. Then there is his post about LoC and wanting to protect him. I still doubt LoC is really as important as he himself says. If you really are night kill immune, you don't straight up say that, that makes your power useless, you try and bait a NK. So I am quite suspicious of LoC, and Xam being very "caring" of him doesn't help his case here.

BTW, I have reasons to believe that the roles we got are not 100 % RNG'd, and that splinter did some things to achieve maximum amusement. That's maximum amusement for him and not for us mind you! So if you are asking yourself "did splinter did this to make it more funny?", the answer could very well be: yes. Roy I have a question. If you believe the bolded above, is it not reasonable to expect Sorian to be given a neutral role, since his most memorable performance for a lot of us was his neutral role in NX? If we can assume that, why do you want to keep him around? Do you think he's better alive as a potential neutral currently? What if his role is to spread misinformation?

Hi, first off: Darryl is Bombay is Darryl, yes? Dunno.
Ehm yes, what a game, eh? Overwhelming would be a kind description.
I want Sorian to answer (or at least acknowledge) Crimson's earlier question (if I haven't overlooked your answer!) what the spirit animals are there for if it only benefits scum - why would we share the information in the first place? (Would certainly make those suspicious that already shared there spirit animal) Thus the mechanic would be useless. Of course, there is the possibility you know additional functions of the mechanic that could hurt Town, if revealed, but it could also go the other way around. I have little experience with neutrals, but keeping it all so vague would fit that mold/playstyle (playing both sites), it seems. How would Town generally handle neutrals?

You take one little day nap and wake up to like 500 posts. Xam is fluffy, but it seems to me to be more of the redhood variety than scum. Not really too suspicious of him as is. Sorian being Sorian. Don't think lynching him is the right move at this time. LoC definitely making himself big and loud. Glad to see Blarg is here so I expect 30 pages by tomorrow. And that I'll give his posts/opinions more serious consideration following HP. Sorry this is kind of token activity ish. Was asleep for most of the day and have a friend to pick up at the airport. More meaningful contributions tomorrow. Probably won't be putting my vote on xam though. Double vote I think is useful to town until it's not (close to lylo). I think waiting for N1 and the amount of chaos/carnage in addition to any flips is a good idea. Id rather use it early to get lore information and get us to mid game status quicker. Kawl has posted a couple more after this, but this is the memorable one, and I dont much care for it. Can you say Sorian being Sorian when this is a pretty different situation from other games? He's 'died' and come back again, and claims to have important information for town regarding spirit animals. That's absolutely not standard Sorian. His point on Xam if fair, and he agreed with CB's point of taking down weak players early, which again I can see as a valid conclusion. Should we completely give up the scumhunt just to do this, though? Maybe as a last resort, considering it now seems not very productive. Sorian dominating the discussion, posting quite a bit, and getting into tiffs with others jostling for town leader? That isn't typical Sorian? Maybe I misunderstand what others expect from his typical behavior. And perhaps read my response to CBs position again. I can see the argument for voting out weaker players, but really only when there isn't much to go on. I feel this day has given us a good amount of action to consider before lopping off players for perceived strength. Not digging the way you framed some of my posts. But I'll agree with others who have said, splinter specifically called this out as a game with twists but heavy emphasis on the hunt of the scum. As far as some of Theories concerning Sorian, I find it hard to take seriously the idea that he was mod killed and then brought back in when the shift in game balance was considered. Something related to his role seems to be more likely given Occam's razor. Unless we have other cases of players reputation lining up with their role (say if Blarg has some crazy posting restrictions) I don't think we should worry too much about the idea of roles having been assigned non randomly. CzarTim strikes me as some one who I've heard plays a mean game but has been quiet so far. People seem to have some bad feeling on Swamped and Scrafty but can't really say I feel too strongly about any one in particular, thought I suppose LoC and Scraftys whole deal was a bit weird. Speaking of LoC, he's probably the person striking me as most suspicious at this point due to several of his interactions with other people being kind of weird (his stuff with Xam as well).

It's possible, but assuming Sorian is a neutral right now is kind of a leap tbh. Even if it turns out I am right with my suspicion Splinter didn't fully RNG the role pm's this time, that still wouldn't mean sorian HAS to be a neutral. Also, he can be spreading misinformation right now, but we would catch him quite quickly if he is indeed doing that. If tomorrow is day 8 for example, that would already contradict something he said about the day 9 thing not being important, and he will have some explaining to do.

Ridli's speculation time. Evil spirits are not cooperating with each other. Theyre after solo victories based somewhat on our spirit animals. Based on my PM, the spirits are working together towards a single goal This caught my attention. Sorian, you said we had multiple scum teams so what do you make of this?

I dont understand how you can gleam that from your PM, I can only infer that yours is different from mine. Which points to a number of things. I could be misinterpreting, this is an avenue I dont really want to go down because it could be playing loose with the rules.

Catching back up.
Looks like nin1000 is indeed our mystery player. First question to nin - what was the point of this?
2nd question to Sorian and Xamtheking - how did you two know?
3rd to Sorian - how do you know there was no (as you claim) there is no significance to there being a mystery player?

I laughed at your title. I knew it was nin because he told me. I also gave an unsubtle hint in the mafia thread that obama was the star (election reference) I don't think there's anything to this, nin PMed Splinter he wanted in as opposed to posting in the mafia recruitment thread, I think Splinter just had fun with it.

I think at this point our safest move is to throw Sorian into the Volcano.
He's demonstrated a power to resurrect himself so we don't have to feel bad about accidentally killing a townie since he will likely survive anyway. But if he does somehow happen to die, than it looks like his role card will reveal crucial information to figure out this evil spirits mess regardless.
VOTE: Sorian

Also, I am still against lynching Sorian today. He has given us a lot of information that will be easy to check (there are multiple scum teams, spirit buddies are in groups, the day 9 thing isn't important), so why waste a lynch to check those if we can just wait and see in order to check his info? I disagree with this statement. He has given us a lot of information that is rather difficult to check (albeit in the course of the game will be confirmed one way or another). The only way to confirm multiple scum teams is if we kill them and their flips confirm separate allegiances. Spirit animals is similar with the caveat that we could in theory talk it out, though this is likely unwise, and further Sorian explicitly discouraged us from doing so. The last item is completely outside our hands in terms of verification. Please don't read into this post as accepting/rejecting anything that's been stated by Sorian or that Sorian is either town or scum. At this point I dislike the assumption that any of this information is credible.

Whatever you say, luv. I'm certainly not afraid to die; if anything my flip would likely be more useful than any input I can offer at this avenue. My death would aid in establishing some early voting patterns as well, which would be quite nice indeed considering how many of you lot seem to want to rush me to my timely demise. It's quite upsetting you think your death is worth more to us than your life.
