I'm not 100% happy about this but I agree with Roy's analysis.
BLOCK: Gorlak

I think I can make a convincing case to lynch Gorlak if he admits he was blocked. Essentially that scum did this to stop him from hitting the posioner. Since Crab was already blocked it can't be him. Scum won't kill Gorlak because they want him in the game to break a lynch, and without another target to hit Gorlak is our best bet. Gorlak dying will verify Crab and remove a threat.
Idk though. I'll try.

Yeah, that's true. Kill: C_M Block: Gorlak Poison: Kalor I'll put in my command. I'll try to go over my role-claim tomorrow if I have time...going out tonight. I think it's fairly solid. I've been posting with it in mind for a few days now. Don't be afraid to post your role claim here complete with your "targets" and reasons for your targets. We can help you find problems you may have missed. I'm not 100% happy about this but I agree with Roy's analysis. BLOCK: GorlakNeither am I, but there is no other option unfortunately. We can't take the risk.

We are the last remaining scum team. We have to carry the scum torch home or town will completely shut us out this season.

This will be a point that will defiantly be discussed during post game talk, believe me. Alright, alright. :p There's no need to browbeat salva and nin, I don't think either of them have run a game before and I was having a quiet word with Palmer and he said that they didn't always get the feedback they needed. I don't think you guys realize how much behind the scenes stuff I did with Matty_G and Karkador during S2, getting games right is really hard and there's no way you get it right first time without help. Frankly, I've had fun and while the game hasn't always gone 100% smoothly, it's definitely managed to avoid the worst wobbles it could have had, so that means they've done a good job all round. Hey, hey. Some of us tried to rein this in. Some suggestions just weren't taken into account. Not trying to be a dick to salva/nin, but there was a lot that wasn't implemented/taken out.

Starting post.
"I targeted Kalor last night. If this gets posted I was unsuccessful. I'm sorry, I was wrong again. Going forward today we have two major options that I see.
1: Kill Crab. This is the obvious choice. Crab has seemingly lied and cheated his way to the center of several players hearts. Creating fake roles and bluffing past night traps. He is a master player that needs to die if he's scum... but we still have no confirmation that Crab is scum. Plenty of conveniences and seemingly scum but nothing 100%. By killing Crab we skip his gambit and jump straight to a scum lynch but we'll have to lynch Gorlak later at risk of town pr blocking. Kill Crab to get rid of a powerful possible scum alligned player first.
2: Kill Gorlak. Per Crab's role pm he is life linked to Gorlak, a Netural alligned roleblocker. He claims to be mentally aligned to town but spreads confusion and fud. He will undoubtedly start blocking town prs soon which could hurt our current balance. We have killed 2 scum now, I believe we could survive 1 day of risk. Kill Gorlak to confirm Crab as town or scum today. This rids us of 1 threat and a powerful town player. If you don't believe Crab is scum this may be the lesser of two evils.
Vote: Crab "
Then, if Gorlak admits to the block.
"With this revelation, certian things have changed... Gorlak was blocked last night as a preemptive strike to stop a killer or posioner from getting blocked. At first glance you may think this is a good thing, because it gives Gorlak a reason to side with us out of anger, but I disagree. This shows that Scum now how full control over Gorlak in case of a lynch tie, because he cant win if scum keeps blocking. If scum offer him a deal it could be the end of us. Keep in mind.
This effectively makes Gorlak a chained dog. A simple "vote for us and the kills and blocks slow/stop" would be the end of town and victory for him. The longer he stays in the game the more risk we are in. Begrudgingly, I must put aside my hate in Crab for one more Day. If Crab doesn't die today, with Gorlak, remaining town can lynch him tomorrow.
Vote:Gorlak"

Hmm, question. Town is expecting me to come back saying I protected Kalor or Cm but what if I told them I protected no one? Say I was selfish and didn't want to die. Could prove a good double bluff.

Hmm, question. Town is expecting me to come back saying I protected Kalor or Cm but what if I told them I protected no one? Say I was selfish and didn't want to die. Could prove a good double bluff. The chances for that to work are very low, not in the least because you already have a shitload of suspicion coming your way. If you say you are selfish and no longer want to block people, you basically have become an ordinary towny, and apparently put the life of you, now an ordinary towny, over the life of a confirmed role cop. That makes 0 sense. Anyway, this is the situation right now (hopefully): day 7: 6 VS 1 VS 4 - lynch of crab (gambit 1: trying to get gorlak lynched, long shot) Day 8: 4 VS 1 VS 3 - lynch of LoC (gambit 2: LoC convinces gorlak to tie the vote, very dangerous, since even if it works sword dude could kill exodu5 the next night, since we will all be outed as scum by this tie bandwagon, safer to try and get gorlak lynched again) day 9: 2 VS 1 VS 2 - this day heavily depends on who gorlak branded and who he didn't. Thankfully, town will be convinced only the poisoner is left (7 scum? puh, way to many!), and since i can not be the poisoner, i will be like 90 % town. so I see two things possible: - If Exodu5 got blocked/branded on night 7 or night 8, how crazy as that sounds, THAT IS A GOOD THING. It means that that one or both townies are the only unmarked. Gorlak will want to lynch those, since unmarked people dying is in his advantage. Gorlak will join us in this case, and we win. - If exodu5 is the only unmarked, that will be a problem, since gorlak will try to get him lynched. We probably need to focus our kills to avoid this. some notes: - I can use my doomed to fail daytime command and my "he can't be scum because he is not the poisoner" town cred to try and influence (heh) town a bit. - L_P is a problem for Gorlak just as much as he is for us. We can't risk night targeting him, but Gorlak also can't. Lynching L_P will be a very attractive thing for gorlak. Why do you think he "doesn't believe" L_P? He totally does, but he realizes lynching L_P is the safest way to his win condition.

Post by Roytheone on Dec 20, 2015 3:03:34 GMT -8
Some additional notes:
-some of the most deciding day and night phases will be during the holidays, which sucks. The game being decided because someone is not able to participate a lot during the holidays will be a huge bummer, independent of if we win or lose.
-If we reach the 2 VS 1 VS 2 situation, and we manage to lynch a towny, they can still destroy all the horcruxes if the last remaining towny has the sword and Gorlak has already left the game. You get the situation where sword dude kills exodu5, but I kill sword dude. The day will start with all the horcruxes destroyed, but also with all the town dead, and I am the sole survivor. I guess that will end the game in a tie? I would actually be kinda ok with that, being the sole survivor of the first tie in gafia history.

It is a believable play, make scum think you are going to die anyway to survive the night.

I still would like for us to look over exodu5 is full role claim, since that could literally cost us the game if it has obvious problems.
Also, LoC, if you try to convince Gorlak to lynch with us (which again, I am not a fan of a plan that forced exodu5 in the spotlight), wouldn't L_P be a better offer than a no lynch? Gorlak would want to get rid of L_P, since trying to brand him will be difficult with his puppy power.
Finally, if it gets super obvious crab is getting lynched, do we want him to talk to gorlak? I still think warning Gorlak about the horcrux being a real threat to us AND him can be handy.
Also, guys, yeeny is rooting for us. WE CAN'T DISAPPOINT HER!

My only fear is lp has it. He still needs 3 nights minimum though, no matter what. So outting ourselves D7 wouldn't necessarily result in a loss by Horcrux. He still needs to destroy, at least, the Locket and tiara, though with Ginny present she might have the Diary.

He used his puppy power last night, and I think the sword wielder can't use the sword and his power during the same night (Blarg also couldn't destroy the ring and use his powers the same night). My fear is that if exodu5 dies, all the remaining horcruxes will be in possession of town, and we need to kill every towny. If horcruxes also get destroyed via night kills, that will make it impossible for us to kill all townies without also destroying all the horcruxes, making it impossible for us to win.

Kawl may have withheld that because he think it will be destroyed when he dies.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a direct night kill gives us the horcrux, but a poison kill doesn't (since we aren't "present" when someone dies of poison).

My role has 2 powers:
1) Divination: I divine the future of a player and get the results 2 nights later. Doing so, I can detect the presence of the Dark Mark and can tell if they are a Death Eater or not. 2) Prophecy: passive. There is someone waiting to return to their fellow Death Eaters. I will be notified at night when this occurs.
I've investigated:
N1 - Blarg N2 - Lord of Castamere N3 - Crab (Death Eater) N4 - Lone Prodigy
I investigated Blarg night 1 since he was cryptic and I didn't know what to make of him. I investigated LoC night 2 because I he made several suspicious plays and I suspected him. I investigated Crab N3 due to his role claim. I did not think there would be another investigator in the game besides Blarg and myself. I investigated Lone_Prodigy N4 since he made that really suspicious "I'll decode the message" post prior to day's end. This seemed like a fake role-claim to me.
Day 5 was my mistake. I read too much into the lore and I firmly believed that we couldn't trust Rita Skeeter, and I was very apprehensive about there being a possible 3rd or 4th investigator role in the game. Also, I was waiting for my Crab investigation results on N5 so I didn't want to lynch him early in case I was wrong.
I believed there to be a Peter Pettigrew day 1 due to my prophecy power , but it seems that it was Voldemort waiting to return to the Death Eaters, not Peter Pettigrew.
What I do not reveal:
N5 - Flame_AC N6 - Enker
I investigated Flame_AC N5 since I didn't have any firm suspicions on anyone and he's been very adamant about lynching miller's from Day 1, which always striked me as odd. I investigated Enker N6 since I now know that Crab is scum and Enker was his first "Hogwarts" result on Day 4. Enker's been very quiet this game.
