Day 1: Voted today: cewyn Lynched today: cewyn (scum) Night 1: Invited tonight: Zubz Flag used: Post 482 "a bit chicken" Talking to: Myself
If this video doesn't load, then THIS PLACE is LOOKIN' LIKE A GHOST TOWN
...that wasn't the doctor at all. I've shamed the Gafia meta. Seriously, what?
I guess I should explain my grand aspirations to any potential readers. You may notice the "Flag used" section above. I plan to signal every invitee to this chat with some sort of bird pun or reference below a quote of theirs. This was almost ruined day one because Zubz was the last to get on the train to save himself. Go figure?
What this means is that anyone who has been in my chat will know my next invite target if they're looking for it. I'll devise a way to signal me back if Zubz makes it in here alive. Speaking of...
Zubz is still likely to eat a night kill given his posturing, but I'm also one for gambits and following through on them. This means I am likely in here talking to myself for a while. I will use this chat to organize my thoughts for future days, should I live to see them.

Hell, Zubz could get lynched day 2 because of that "dropping out" bit of business... luckily LaunchPad landed face first with that last minute vote so who knows?
And if Zubz is scum... well, I guess I'm done for too?
In any case, 1 down means town's odds have dropped EVEN FURTHER on picking a scum out of the barrel. I'm a pessimist. I'm curious about what the implications of the vote could be... Will I be trusted? That's not something I really want, though. I disappeared for much of the third game day to siphon heat off myself, knowing that I need time to get this gossip business rolling. "Power roles have to protect themselves", some might say.
Only time will tell whether it worked or if leading the strike against a mafia member will get me revengeanced.

And honestly, it doesn't feel good given what little hunch I had going on cewyn. WHICH IS TO SAY NOTHING. It was more to push off Zubz and determine if I was walking into the dumbest trap ever.
Doesn't help that it seems like cewyn had few opportunities to post and got a lynch cherry for a bad weekend sundae. Which means cewyn would've gotten hit as town, scum, or neutral regardless. A petty victory by chance alone.
Mining Cewyn's (I am just now noticing Cewyn's name actually does have a capital C in it whoops) posts for information reveals: Feels strongly about Kark Trusts "Cornbro" to some degree
wait two posts???
oh lord Kark was right I'm a bad man hanging the quietest person in the room. AND we get practically no information off this.

Zubz has been hovering somewhere between "lost cause" and "actually probably a scum or murderhead neutral". I don't think I can stick my neck (Hah?) out for him any more than I already have. Town seems to be ignoring me which is fine and dandy but that could turn on a dime real quick. I might as well act like a normal townie because my odds of someone surviving to my chat seem slim at this juncture. Thinking acohrs for my next invite.
Currently unsure about my mafia targeting risk. Nin getting hit was something I did not expect... so do I be unlike Nin somehow and hope they maintain their hit criteria or do I try to be like Nin somehow and hope they're shifting gears. Biggest problem there: what does it mean to be "Like Nin"?

I currently find myself with an unenviable decision.
Zubz potentially being a cop AND being slated to appear in my chat allows one more clear before his (and Blarg's?) unenviable demise. I *could* come totally clean and give my role and invitee out...
Pros: 1. An additional cop check before the cop squad is busted. 2. If my checks are accurate even after Zubz is gone, I'm essentially a confirmed town without a strong power role to prioritize. This means they either spend a lynch knowingly hitting a gossip or I get to live. I call that a win-win, especially if a mafia gets hit with this suspected arsonist.
Cons: 1. Zubz and/or Blarg could still be scum. If I'm fed BAD information, this could do damage to both my person and town in general. 2. As with the above, I would allow scum to see who I'm talking with each night and manipulate the game around it. It's easier to claim a watcher/tracker role when you have a man on the inside who received an action. 3. Reveals my role, which a large portion of the game is no doubt going to be unhappy about. 4. Plan has a chance to totally and utterly fail to change vote influence, while still leaving me with a revealed role.
If I do this, I can't let it go to the wire to do so...
I feel that I've failed to try and push town to a Zubz alternative before it's become too late. I'm sorry cop-Zubz, I've failed too.

franconp. launchpad. kalor. rac. acohrs.
In retrospect, it all becomes clear why Zubz said he could clear multiple people. Blarg was right, if I had been sharper and thought about WHAT would allow this, and WHY, maybe I could've gotten Zubz through today.
I wanted to tie the vote, Blarg. I couldn't say it out loud, and I didn't know if it would work. But it was the only option I saw. If you live to find this, I am truly sorry.

I should have pushed Launchpad when I had the chance. That was a thread that might have wrenched attention off of Zubz, even just a little bit. I need to learn how to make a stink like franconp. I need to learn how to whip people into a frenzy, rather than letting them come to their own conclusions.

It's a good thing that whole "try to cause day 2 to deadlock on votes" plan never worked out, because I'm just now realizing the magnitude of the storm that would've followed. A firestorm of people doused, Zubz and Blarg still targets, maybe my head called for, and no information gained except for whoever scum would've killed that night.
Trouble is, I'm at a loss for what to push today. Launchpad is putting in some more work and appears to be listening to reason. Still could be scum, but it acting a little more conservatively if so.
Maybe I'll prod Kalor some since Acohrs is already being mulled over post-Kark-claim.

Yeah, I'll admit that I'm a little hesitant to cast doubts on someone, but I'm also feeling more constrained by newbishness. I'm having a hard time recognizing who scum might be.
I guess I need to cash in on the town goodwill from night 1 before it decays too badly. Just sitting and waiting for something to happen probably won't cause anything to happen a la Cewyn's lucky lynch.
I thought you checked franconp for real, so I'm actually really glad you've let me know that wasn't a thing that happened.

For all my plans at the start, I didn't create a post at the top about who I am and the rules of the chat. Way to go me, I guess. I'll knock it out now for the future:
I am a Gossip. I am Town aligned. I can invite someone one night, and if they make it to the next night I get to talk to them. I have to send an invitation every night, else one will be sent for me at random.
I am actually uncertain as to whether I can invite someone twice or not. There's no explicit mention, so I may have to either PM Crimson about that or try to invite you back again.

I'll also give you some rationale for picking you night two.
After Zubz' flip, you're a confirmed role cop and pretty much a confirmed town. If you made it to tonight I figured I might be able to get some insights on your past target(s), confuse any watcher remaining to protect any doctor targeting you, and to maybe learn about your next target.
Seeing as you're down to one shot, I'm uncertain about whether you want to let it ride and see if you last another day or burn it now.
I am curious... do you get the read back the same night or at day's start? If you get it back that night I can ensure your check makes it even if you don't.
