both sides are playing well, i am curious who will win... town probably has to be on point from now on with no scummies lynched yet. getting the sk was a good win for town, but it was also a win from scummies. so i think scummies have the upper hand to win this, at the moment. let's see what happens in the next day phase :3 if town doesn't lynch maf in D3, i think it's scummies' game for sure.

I'm really curious to see who actually is scum in the end. Feels like everyone is playing pretty well though I have mainly had to skim. Kyan is a hoot.

Mechanics analysis:
We know that we must have MMMTXXX or MMMTTTX given existence of SK. Assuming Kyan's claim as true, we have either MMMTTTC or MMMTCXX, where the X's possibly include more C's. Kyan, would you care to clarify what type of cop you are?

Also, this means scum definitely have a roleblocker (although we knew that anyway).

Let me start the day with my promised look at people's reactions to Kyan, following last nights events. I'm reasonably happy that the kill confirms him as town. The posts below have summaries of their comments in normal text, then my commentary in italics.

Kyan accuses Haly

Crab - Nothing for a while, then reaction gif. Suggests scum may know there isn't a cop, and that Kyan may be bussing Haly for safety. Acknowledges Kyan correction, suggests scum may have gambled anyway.

CzarTim - Asks Kyan why he chose Haly. Suggests a certain Haly/Crab convo could be w/w. Questions why scum Kyan would do this. Asks why Haly is voting Kyan if she thinks he might be town. Calls out squid's point about lynching Kyan having the best possible result. Says it is ridiculous to lynch a claimed cop, suggests timing of lynch may be to take heat off of scum!Crab.

Gorlak - Nothing.

Haly - Says Kyan is scum or awful gambit. Responds to Haly saying the Ouro gambit mentioned succeeded by fluke. Says Kyan not cop but doesn't believe Kyan is necessarily scum. Response to Time and Tim, with some mechanics commentary too. Asks Kyan to confirm who he really is and his actions. Asks if Kyan got anti-town or no result. Votes on Kyan. Tells Tim that if Kyan is serious then he must be scum.

Kawl - Throwaway comment about not peeking. Mechanics analysis, concluding with advocating a Haly lynch. Asks Kyan to admit gambit if not cop, calls out Haly's reaction. Tells me not to stay on Crab if I believe Kyan. Short discussion of the effect the roleblocker could have on the game. Tells Squid he's not voting Kyan over Haly. Corrects Crab that there is an open power role that scum cannot know about. Commentary on best play assuming Squid's scum Kyan/Crab hypothesis.

Melon - Lol response, then mentions it's weird gambit timing. Rebuts Haly saying an Ouro gambit which was comparable worked. Recalled that someone was suspicious of Haly but wasn't sure who. Further meta discussion about Ouro gambit. Thanks Kawl for analysis. Says she believes Kyan, votes Haly. Criticises apparent joke by Haly.

Squid - Discusses possible outcomes of lynching Haly v lynching Kyan. Can't really follow logic but suggests lynching Kyan has the best possible result. Suggests that if Kyan is scum it is very likely that Crab is scum.

Kyan accuses Time

Crab - Votes Kyan demanding explanation, before immediately unvoting after seeing explanation. Responds to Kyan's post about his gambit being reaction bait by voting Kyan. Unvotes, says he wants to vote Kyan for being a dick though. Questions Haly still wanting to lynch him. Goes to sleep with no vote, says spiritually his vote is on Time. Suggests he is being tunnelled, suspicion of him goes beyond poor play. Says no town should be voting for him.

CzarTim - Posts agreement with Kawl. Says that Haly's reaction to being accused seemed town.

Gorlak - Finally reappears, says we should lynch Time. Does not believe Kyan is lying. Posts reads and asks for my thoughts. Calls out seemingly nonsensical reasoning by Time (over multiple posts). Says Crab is overreacting, thinks Crab is playing very strangely.

Haly - Votes Crab, saying there's no point in lynching Kyan. Says he wants to go back to lynching Crab and observing Time. Throws some humorous shade at Kawl. Says he wanted to lynch Crab and pretend the whole Kyan thing never happened. Votes Time. Says Melon is coasting town or scum.

Kawl - Some commentary on Kyan's analysis, before voting Time and saying he's going back to read reactions. Says we have to lynch either Kyan or Time, prefers lynching Time. Asks if Haly still wants to kick the can down the road. Points out weak argument by Time. Says he needs to go back and look at Haly's response.

Melon - Responds to Crab saying that scum can still find it hard to determine if PR claims are legit. Says the game is confusing. Posts some reads, townreads Gorlak, Tim and Kyan, scumreads Squid and Haly. Thinks Crab is a PR, not very suspicious of them.

Squid - Says "fuck this bullshit", votes Kyan. Asks why scum would kill Kyan. Says Kyan is full of shit. Switches to Time, says he wants to see Kyan's reaction after it blows up in his face.

Then a bit of a day end circus.

My commentary

Crab - Really difficult to read. One of the most discussed players, so it may be worth looking at dead players' thoughts on him in detail. Null.

CzarTim - Feels like a towny response to me, and I had Tim as town before. His reactions seem appropriate. Town.

Gorlak - Very strongly behind Kyan, also suspicious of Crab. Could be scum trying to push to support a non-scum lynch, but that's difficult to say for sure. Null.

Haly - Reaction to being accused seemed like a strong town reaction to me, reaction to pivot to Time ditto. I feel scum would be a bit quicker to pile on to Time. Town

Kawl - Been broadly town reading for a while, and activity only confirms that for me. Town.

Melon - Posts a lot but not actually all that much of substance beyond surface level posts and very quick to vote Haly but also very happy to vote Time (both non-scum). I'm leaning scum. If scum, would suggest Squid may be scum who Haly is scum reading in self-defence (given earlier pressure on Squid, possibly one of Gorlak and Tim is scum. Crab could be conceivably, given she seems not too concerned about him). Scum.

Squid - Seems very very keen to lynch Kyan, and also to draw w/w connection between Kyan and Crab (possibly to help exonerate Crab if Kya

Was a good idea to take being lynched away from me, otherwise I get bored when nothing's happening and do random crazy stuff but here I felt like I actually had a responsibility to town
