I also think Blarg's play, while I find it amusing and fun, was severely not helpful. Like, negative help. His flip really shocked me, because it turns out it was an Ordinary Town 100% fucking around with no real aim to it.
The FA mechanic is interesting, and I looked forward to playing with it, but I feel like it's a huge drag on Town while it's probably not a big deal for scum. Whether it's the game's fault, or the particular players who got the roles, I'm not sure, but I say this game has sucked because it felt so disorganized and unmotivated lots of times.
heyyyy, what can I say. A bit?
I got 'Pawn' as my piece this game, don't blame me when all I got for moves is pushing forward forward forward. And did I not provide my insights on Natiko in the end? You wanna know what's "severely not helpful", Kark, with regards to real pro-Town play?
- StarSketch chooses to Override the player of clear majority of the Day. Why would she kill a player who's already a given down? Why kill the already-dead vote leader? If she was Town, she basically just wasted her Override on a given. She even acknowledged that herself, Post #1720, yet in the end she does it anyway. What the fuck? That's a red flag right there,
are they even going to talk about that Today? Also, she made the Day END EARLIER with it, what the fuck is even an Override that ends the Day early AND prevents the Day's majority lynch from occurring? What kind of "pro-Town" power is that?
Are they even going to talk about the balance and implications of that Today? And then she starts Today saying "ohhhh my memory's so fuzzy, I don't know what I did", come on.
Are they even going to talk about how that looks, or ask her why she's saying that?- Natiko Today repeats multiple times that "Blarg never engaged me in conversation about his BS". Uh, my end of Day 2 attack on him, it's right there. Wonder why he's attempting to sweep all that under the rug, huh? Especially after my flip? Damage control much;
are they even going to talk about that Today, and did they even notice?- You have two bloody players in Star and Nat, trying to sweep what they did to me under the rug.
Is anyone even going to comment on this? If called out, their stock reply would undoubtedly be, "I'm not sweeping him under the rug, we suffered Days as well as days of his nonsense and I'm glad it's over, we should move on." But my now-confirmed alignment though. A Town, regarding me and what I did, should not be brushing my corpse aside and chalking how mangled its remains are up to nonsense, especially after seeing that I was one of them. Town SHOULD be asking:
+ Now that we know he was Town-aligned, how does this change our perception of what he was doing before he died?
+ Now that we know he was Town-aligned, what kind of light does that put all his statements in? About who he was talking about?
+ Can we extrapolate a possible motive behind his play-style, given his Role; and, given his Alignment, we must assume that he had pro-Town intentions behind what he was doing. Should we not review his final statements in consideration of that?
Everyone gone and left is complaining about how much airtime I was taking up; yet, shouldn't a player that apparently prolific in players' hearts & minds, warrant the same amount of scrutiny post-elimination? Even more so, given the flip? That would be the TOWN thing to do, wouldn't it? Exhaust all possible lanes of intel-gathering after the fact(s), retread footsteps as much as possible?
Someone who gives a shit, who takes a cursory glance at the current state of the game board this Day 3, would likely notice these SOLID LEADS. And I cannot BELIEVE that out of everyone left, of all people it would be
nin that's suggested they take another look at my body. Despite the tepid reception to that ask... on (my concept of) Town's behalf, thanks anyway, nin. <3
Hell, if Star and Nat are indeed scum, with all my yelling then that's 2 out of 4? scum that I've helped coax out into read vulnerability.
Is it "negative help" to Town if the ones who are supposed to be using me, don't?
And what about
your Ultimate Genius play this game, Town-aligned Ultimate Genius? I haven't seen
your gambits pay off this game either. In fact, I think that
my BS this game has set-up a better possibility for a Town recovery, than
your BS this game. We're both dead now. But what did you do before that? What was your own grand pro-Town design? You full Role-claimed with the ACTUAL TRUTH on the Day before the death you could have avoided, setting yourself right up for a Roleblock on your DIY final Night of any possible utility to Town. Was it even an honourable death you had, putting yourself out there to absorb 1 Night of scum's supportive-PR action, DESPITE BEING A REAL ACTUAL TOWN POWER ROLE YOURSELF, all before you bit the bullet you could've dodged? Tell me, did not saving yourself help Town in the end, Kark? We're both relatively insightful players with
some reading comprehension value to provide to the team; if you didn't like your Role becau Yet, you did the job of a pawn when you should've been playing as a bishop.
As opposed to me; I was assigned to be a pawn, I did the job I was given. A pawn is SUPPOSED to go upfront and draw aggro, which is what I did. A pawn's supposed to do that to allow the the heavy-hitter PR pieces like you to sit behind the line in relative comfort, until it's time for them to strike with action claims and informed reads. A pawn is supposed to lock the board up so that the other pieces can get some perspective.
I'll admit I was entirely wrong about you being scum PR colluding with absbro, Kark. I know you can't fault me for theorizing, however wildly. Every wild guess is a stepping stone, yeah? We're supposed to be bouncing those kinds of things against each other. The more people discussed my shit I was throwing at you, the more I started to un-BELIEVE it myself. I didn't want to do that until I had thrown myself against that wall thoroughly. That doubt after the chatter-collapsed tunnel was what led me to look at others, was what convinced me to look further back for unrelated topics, and during that's when I stumbled on the Natiko reads list thing.
You know, if I entered a match, and was confronted with a player like me, an annoying flippant ass of a game-annihilating recurring magical shitstain who bullshits and comes back and bullshits and comes back and bullshits constantly?
I would not ignore a single sentence such a player said, especially after their "asking-for-it" inevitable early elimination, and especially
when I found out said player was batting for my side that whole damn time. Such shit deserves to be reprocessed for leads, and only after that reprocessing, should the verdict of "Done Just For Fun" be slammed onto that player's profile if their alleged contributions are found wanting in the light of their flip. Not before.
This wouldn't be a tirade if it didn't have the proper amount of snark, so to top that off here goes: I'm sorry if you apparently jumped into this game with the expectation of a pleasant ride to Victory Station with a bit of light reading and a few naps to entertain you on your journey. Oh, I'm sorry to bother you, are you done with that reads list? I have the morning edition, mind if we swap? Would you look at that, says here that I've been fairly nice all week. Wonderful read, innit? Says the same about you in mine. Wonderful! See you Tomorrow then! Is that what you want, Kark? Is that what you want from your [Mafia]? It's all only as organized as we make it to be, you know this, c'mon. The natural state of the game is chaos, and every post naturally exacerbates that. It's Town's raison d'etre as a Faction and team to sort it out and clean it up for their win. That's the game, right?
And personally, I only find that Terra's FA is the buggy fly in the balance ointment; the rest of the FAs (at least, what we've seen so far) don't seem particularly egregious in their hamstringing of normal play. IMO, I think that you have such a gripe about the FAs because your own Role revolved solely around that mechanic of pain, and it got to you more than it did us others.
Well, maybe except to Terra

Yesterday, I had been assuming that Star would Override someone else, at least the pro-Town
minimum of taking out the second-place vote leader at the time. Yet, I knew that Overriding celebrity me was a big temptation to anyone with that kind of PR, regardless of alignment; hence why I confronted her about it, just asking for it directly for myself myself. I didn't want that shit striking me out without getting her to commit her stance on me to a post beforehand. So much good getting that out's doing; no one's bothering to even bring the topic of the Override up again, because "good riddance" ¬_¬
I was expecting to be majority and booted, given myself; so, instead of finishing my reads list as my final contribution, I decided to narrow it into pursuing my case against Natiko, of which I noticed the scant details of while trawling through previous posts. It's what I spent my last couple of hours alive doing and it's super frustrating that no one's bothering to go back to those posts of mine, at least for a look. :/
Right now, the only hope left for Town is in its naturally analytical players, Ty4on and Sorian; if they are Town. Natiko's the type, but I DEFINITELY don't think he's Town. So other than those two, I don't see anyone left who has the stamina and willpower to sift through the past Days' BS and chew through it all again while keeping the last 3 flips in mind, because that's the only course of action that will save us. Although, kingkitty did surprise me by noticing that Bronx claim kerfuffle before Sorian; more scum damage control and/or cutting of already-dead weight, perhaps? Yeah, doubtful that's that.
Anyway, it's clear IMO that the remaining scum team's gotta be:
NatikoStarSketchBronx-Man
Nat and Star are gonna throw Bronx under the bus Today for Townie points, I reckon.
All bets on Ty4on and kingkitty for Town's Last Hopes
Sorian's whatever
