Doesn't matter to me. We can open with the claim, then pretend it was a gambit then reveal pretending it was a gambit was the real gambit.
I'm not super familiar with mason strategy but could be worth it?

I wouldn't claim too early. It makes us an easy target for mafia because there's no way we're getting mislynched.

If one of us dies the other one can claim whenever, it's one of the benefits of playing Mason. No one in their right mind, except Ouro, will try to claim Mason with someone who they're not actual Masons or at least some kind of shared chat/Lovers situation.

I do wonder if there can be another group of Masons though. There might be some crossfire, or if someone convinces town we're not actual Masons if we're pressured to claim.

On the Mafiscum wiki, it's stated that game makers tend to think of a 2-man mason team to be equivalent in power to 1 cop, because of the average rate of confirms by cop. That's why I compared the two.

Gotcha, makes sense. Yeah it's possible we have another mason pair.
Also as a heads up (I posted in the thread as well), I'll be doing birthday-things next Sunday so my availability will probably be a bit lower than normal during the day. I think I math'd correctly and that'll be the last full RL day during that phase, so I should have time to catch up and address last minute concerns/move my vote if needed.

Also what's your stance on butting heads, at least early? Might be worth it to keep any particularly observant scum off of us initially?
I'll plan on checking in here at least once a day phase, but might also use it as a notepad of sorts if that's ok with you. Don't wanna get too unfocused on the forum where we can contribute publicly though.

I don't know about butting heads. GAFia tends to be pretty quick about drawing slapdash connections between people talking to each other. It takes them longer, a lot longer actually, to figure out who aren't talking to each other.
Yeah sure. Better to have thoughts out in the open.
