Welcome to the collective unconscious, a realm connecting the hearts of humanity together. A few points to keep in mind - Guests will only be here for one night, however the chat will not be reset. Future visitors will be able to see all previous discussions.
- The same rules as the regular game thread apply: Please do not directly quote any PMs you receive, including your role PMs, and do not edit posts.
Be wary, for the line between ally and shadow is not so clear. Watch your words, and tread with caution.

We get to talk tonight. Originally, I had intended to feed this chat a few lies to protect myself if I made a bad pick day 1 but I'm skipping all that since you role claimed so quickly.
I'm the hanged man arcana, town, and I'm a modifed gossip role. Each day I can pick one player during the day who I want to talk to and I get you 1-on-1 in this chat room during the night. The logs are all saved so whoever I invite day 2 would be able to read night 1 and whoever I invite day 3 can read night 1 and 2, etc. You only hang out for a night while I am here permanently, I can re-invite people though but that's the only way they can stay here, otherwise you're kicked out at day start.
With that out of the way, I obviously invited you because of your role claim so here's your one opportunity to be honest with me, was that an attempt to save yourself or the truth?

So you don't know the alignment of who you are inviting in this room and they can see the posts of the previous person in here? 1. I don't even know if you're really town aligned. 2. what's stopping you from accidentally inviting in a scum here to see my posts?
I wanted to trust you so bad at the beginning of this game and it bit me so hard in the ass that I've pretty much ruined the game for a lot of people, I have trust issues now.

You're right, you don't know that I'm town aligned and this community has seen both town and scum gossips so there is precedent for both. Hell, we've even had a neutral gossip before. Point 2 shouldn't matter to you at this point, if you were telling the truth yesterday then you already blew your load. Scum either need to kill you, deal with the blowback of your PR and hope to get you lynched anyway, or they could have a roleblocker that could just keep you shut down anyway which will make you suspicious to the group at large anyway so in all honesty, trusting me is one thing but being afraid that scum might one day see this chat should be fairly low on your worry list.

Who am I kidding, there's no way to save face any more, I don't give a shit if a scum sees this, yes it's true. Alright, so I'm asking for one thing only out of this chat, if we can share some reads and thoughts that's just bonus but we need to verify you without any doubt. When I said in thread that verifying you was easy, I was being honest but I couldn't really say how I wanted to verify you. We're on N1 and you're a killing role so that's town's accounted for. In a majority of games, there is also a neutral killer of some sort, usually labeled as a serial killer. I'm hoping for that at this point. The play here is for you to use that protection/revival power and we hope that two people are supposed to die tonight. When you get asked who you want to save, I just ask that you pass the two names onto me here. I'll give my input but the choice of who lives is all you, I probably won't care that much. The reason I want the two names is because it would at least prove that you "predicted" the night kill ahead of it actually being posted in thread which means one of two things. Either you are scum or you really do have the power you say you do. If you're scum, this does provide you a stay of execution for a day or two but if later night phases roll through and only one person is dying each night then obviously you were lying. Make sense?

Other pertinent things:
-If you are scum, keep in mind that I breadcrumbed to the thread who I invited in here tonight, that means there is a link back to you. Up to you if you and you're buddies really want to risk killing me on the same night you're here.
-Don't roleclaim on my behalf and don't make mention of an outside chat at this point. Assuming you are town, I'd like scum to not know that town has a way to communicate even if it is a very nerfed version. If you decide to start town reading me at some point during this night phase, you can reflect that in your reads tomorrow but you'll have to come up with some reason other than this chat to explain your evolved read. I've already positioned myself to be on your side until your PR proves true or false and that's the stance I still hold privately too. I'm trusting you until I'm given reason not to.

Oh and last one, if I do die tonight somehow, please do pass my thoughts along to the main thread. Obviously, you can't copy and paste from here to there but I do intend to start putting together some thoughts since we did kill a shadow last night and this chat does provide me the unique opportunity of being able to leave a will.

Alright, but can let me be honest on another thing: I really, truly, am bad at reading. I'm an absolute moron and my reading comprehension is very low, I regret trying my hands at another WW game. Whenever I say in the thread that I suck at reading I really mean it. I'm not even talking about reading as in interpreting other players motives from their actions, I legitimately struggle to read the thread and make mental notes on people and connect the dots. The fact that I believed you were scum just proves this point.

Here's some initial thoughts (I've already mentioned them in the thread a ton):
I still think Vanguard and Verelios is running something.
Vanguard: Did an RNG vote and low key played it until deadline, threw his vote on Exmachina. He had waaay too low participation with his vote after he convinced me he was going to use it as a pressure tool. Leaning scum.
Verelios: Did a witch hunt against inactives, but he (what seemed) purposely ignored a lot of inactives specifically going for only a handful. Leaning scum.
Exmachina: dude has played mad scummy, was my go to vote tonight at the end.
FluxWaveZ: I don't know where to put him. I thought he was a power role. There was a point in the thread where he was talking about arcanas. Until I saw Exodus' scum PM I thought shadows didn't have arcanas/personas and standard PM in the thread doesn't mention it so there's no way they would know(which is why I emphasised it in my role claim; I was hoping other PR would notice it). This is moot anyway now, scums know it. Leaning a bit because he started the game by baiting Sketch to a role reveal and later me at several points. Both Flux and and Verelios were ridiculously reluctant to vote on Exmachina/Exodus after it was even. For me that seems shady, but then again you did the same, so they've maybe both had their reasons for this.
StarSketch: Heavy leaning on power role. She's the only person of this bunch I have a really good understanding of before entering this game because we hang out daily and I'm not just saying this because of her "laugh at role PM" comment. Sketch is exactly the kind of person that would laugh over a normal PM. She bought my PR claim pretty fast which I hope was because of the Arcane gambit (this was before Exodus' PM was shown), even if the gambit is debunked. Also she's the only one I really cut slack for inactivity because zoning out is exactly a thing she would do. She even forgot our Ghibli movie group watch last weekend. _(:'3 」∠)_ It's too dangerous to let her pass just because we are on good foot outside of the game and I think we have to pressure something out of her next day.

We're in the game world right now so I have to look at that entire statement with slight skepticism only because emotional appeals to get on people's good side is definitely a valid tactic but if you're being all on the up and up then just know you haven't really played badly at all. You're new to this group which means you don't get to fall back on established relationships and interactions to help figure out which way is up. There's a lot of bluster, myself included, in the thread and some people who legitimately sound like they know what they are talking about but keep in mind, everyone on town side is stumbling through the dark, I can pretend I know where I'm going because I've done it so many times but each and every game is different and trends and probabilities just can't account for everything. If you want any criticism, I think the only two things you could have handled better were the role claim, I would have personally at least waited until this morning as I think people were going to cool off on you fairly soon and trusting me so easily at the start just on the basis of knowledgeable appeal, so I wouldn't say thinking I was scum was a bad thing in it's own right. You just swung from one extreme to the other. Keep trucking along, things make a lot more sense as the picture starts to get less cloudy, unless you get the benefit of being an investigator or getting direct results from an investigator, you have to trust and distrust and hold steady sometimes just so you have a stable base to work from. That's why I took a few people, Natiko and plop and kind of Ty4on, and just stopped thinking about them completely, it narrowed who I had to worry about down to 16 which makes it all easier. If the 3 of them are still hanging out in a couple days then I can add them back into my guesswork. If you're scum and made me type all that for no reason then Anyway, do feel free to post thoughts and new reads here. I think I'm going to be busy tonight but I do want to post out some thoughts just so I have them in writing, probably sometime tomorrow. For example, I notice that Exodus posted a reads list and in the section with my name, he slipped in that he would love if a cop checked me since I'm just always so hard to read. That's a common scum tactic if they have a framer on their team and it made me raise an eyebrow when I read it, surprised exodus was so brazen and I do wonder if they hope to get a cop to check me. I wouldn't be surprised if others on the scum team were pushing the narrative that I'm extremely hard to read to nudge a potential cop into checking me. (framer- can make it so that one person shows as the opposite result during a night phase so a town member would show as not town and neutrals and scum would show as town)

I wouldn't worry about the arcana wording at this point. If I had to guess, based on that shadow PM, EVERYONE is an arcana or reverse arcana and some just have no powers. Exodus was a goon which is the scum equivalent of a vanilla (no power) role. So anyone who used that word had no extra info. That said, I'm not worried about Star in the least so far. She's been in this commnity for awhile too and I know exactly what you mean. I've seen her get lynched multiple times just because she forgot the game was going on or was reading but just never knew what to say so stayed silent, I've seen nothing damning so far. The only thing Verelios did that bothered me was him and Flux hanging out off vote at the end there. That's was super weird and it makes me wonder if it's so easy that exodus, exmachina, flux, and verelios are just the whole team but that seems way too easy, regardless it tripped me because Verelios was a pretty solid town read for me up until that point.

If there's two targets and one of them is me I might just off myself, I am baaad at this. _(:3 」∠)_ I would actually tell you to let yourself die as well but it has nothing to do with your play. I don't think scum would try to kill you tonight so if someone else is dying along with you then they have a very above average chance of being a town member because that would have been the person that scum targeted. With this set-up, you would die but your extra info wouldn't go to the grave because I could pass it along.

So, here's exodu5's read list always take these with a grain of salt. Most scum know that they need to mix their teammates up amongst town reads and scum reads so that's nothing new. What we're looking for is where they deviated from the baseline reads everyone else was giving. Scum doesn't really need to go against the grain too much on reads unless it is suiting their purpose. The first one I notice is 11037. He scum read him, as I think most people do, for very small things but then gave him a complete pardon for his reads list. So I went back to the reads list and it's hardly an amazing list. It would not have flipped my perspective if I was scum reading 11037. Exmachina was his main push near day end. The important bit here is that exodus was a scum goon, no power role, meaning he was bottom of the food chain. He wouldn't be trying to get a scum buddy lynched over himself unless that scum buddy was also a useless goon. Possible but I don't think scum would want to set up scum v scum on the day 1 lynch and exodus was on exmachina pretty early. I think this clear exmachina a lot imo. fran is likely town. Exodu5 could have easily town read him if he was a teammate since everyone else was but he decided to throw shade there instead and give him a null read. They were worried about him being an accepted town read among all because then they would be boxed into night killing him. Exodu5 didn't say anything about PK and this is hardly a new read because PK's towniness is extremely obvious but he put a nail in Exodu5's coffin when he didn't need to. Assuming exmachina is town, PK must be as well because PK could have easily voted exmachina instead and flipped the entire day on it's head, PK was the deciding vote as far as momentum is concerned. Huh, apparently I should have read his reads list fully to spot this gem, this is what I get for glossing over these until later: "Ty4on - I don't like looking too much into the meta, but I do think Rynam was a regular townie." Bullshit though since Exodu5 tried pushing Rynam quite early for meta. Interesting change of opinion suddenly. Rynam could have been more inactive than exodu5 would have liked so he tried early bussing him but then when the much more active Ty4on came into the role, he had to flip that opinion since a bus was no longer necessary. I could see Ty4on being a teammate for sure. The rest of his reads list is all re-iterating word for word the exact opinions on other player's so there may or may not be scum in there, hard to really get anything from it. I do want to check one more thing while I have time this morning. brb

It was you, had to make sure. That's fine though, as I said, I'll accept that you may be a PR until I get harder evidence of this being true or false. This postAs I called out, using the word bus there is the tiniest of semantic issues but it was a tell for me and I think it was a tell for exodu5 too due to switching back and forth between scum and regular chat. He wanted bus you, implying that you are a teammate. I'll need to keep that in mind.

Oh and Exodu5's thoughts on Vanguard didn't exactly cool me on thinking van was scum. Flux and Exodus gave me a lot of pushback with voting vanguard "for RNG" which was never the case and I see it as an obvious ploy to undermine my opinion which worked for the most part. If Vanguard is scum, Flux is next, no questions. Still not sure what to make of both Flux and Verelios honestly trying to sit out that final vote. It borders on no real info since you could really swing it either way as far as alignment goes but when pushed they both went to go lynch the scum member with no PRs. I think to really get any info from that, I'd need to know what exmachina is because it's a very different world if he is town or a scum with a PR.

That's all the analysis I have for now. I do worry again that you might be scum but nothing I can do about it now. I think the only saving grace I have there is that me dying implicates you heavily once town sees what my role is so I just have to leave it up to logic. Guess we'll see.

Working a night shift makes for a wonky schedule but I'll try to be up during the dead hour where all PRs are supposed to be submitted to see if you get any leads. If I happen to not be here, remember to leave any names you get here of who should die. Priority at this point is to keep the two of us alive so we can verify each other's stories if needed, past that, my notes are here of who I think is town or scum so if you want my input, a lot of it is here already.
And remember, no mention of this chat unless I am dead or I bring it up first. I am going to interact with you tomorrow as if none of this ever happened and I expect you to do the same.
