I think a valid strategy for scum would be to find the only other confirmed role in the game at this point, The nurse.
I'm not sure how exactly they'd go about hunting him down, but maybe just look for slightly different behaviour patterns compared to other doctor players?
A scum has highlighted in scum chat, but the Nurse has the potential to be a dangerous swing element in the game, and lynching him at day end or forcing a claim could be helpful because
1) Claiming would have at least one doctor try to protect him, which could lead to death. 2) They might still lynch anyway. 3) Having more than one doctor hit the Nurse would make it harder for Town to understand who has what role.
The nurse could also just claim outright, though I think anyone protecting him N1 after this would be dangerous. Overall it seems to benefit scum more than Town, who could probably aim the NK at him, removing a swing element with reasonable confidence that it's bad play to protect him when no one knows what they do.
One way to stop this kill for the claimed nurse is to agree to get all of town to protect the nurse claim, one of them will be the jailkeeper which will block all other kills. I could see #thisisGAFIA causing problems with this tactic.
But I'm finally catching up. I think the strategy of protecting the nurse is an interesting one assuming they don't lynch him today.
Don't have any real scum candidates at the moment. Ty4on is acting a little overly helpful. Splinter seems to be pushing the game forward and I'm getting a town read so far. I'm not as familiar with the other players as I am them, so it difficult for me read everyone.
hobbie, it's the only role PM that differs (in town's batch). the rest of them got the standard doctor pm, so they donno which doctor they are. only the nurse knows for sure that they were not a doctor.
Something I could do with being explained, people kept bringing up how much of a useful role the nurse could be but I didn't really see how?
Obviously it wasn't useless as it gained the ability of a dead doc and all but players were alluding to more.
Well it was the only role of the game that was essentially a confirmed Town, as it had it's own role PM. So yeah, if scum was bold they could've claimed Nurse and you have a thunderdome situation, but I'd say that's not the normal play. Basically you'd be about the closest thing to a confirmed town the game has.
