If melonrabbit doesn't claim item giver it would follow that the item giver either is Scum or that at least Splinter is lying. I see no scenario in which Scum melonrabbit would chime in to support Town Splinter.

Melonrabbit is also claiming in a weird way. Splinter insists the items are unique, but a Fenton Finder is one specific item. Why would she ask Splinter "it's this specific item, right?" if they're all supposed to be unique?
Unless she's the Item Giver....but then she would know that the items are unique. The only confusion I can see happening for her is if Rats switched *Splinter with someone last night, and she thought she sent a "Fenton Phone" to someone and it ended up with Splinter instead.

the point of all this is kind of like a test
If StarSketch goes along with me, she lets me establish her as Danny Phantom, unlynchable. The ideal situation would have been that she just runs with it, is actually Town, and mafia fall for it.
The BEST situation is that she's actually mafia, and runs with it. Being "Danny Phantom" is a good position to be in by Day, but there's a catch - mafia likely wouldn't kill her at night, because she's one of theirs - and this is the trap I'm trying to set.
So what are we learning here? StarSketch not going along with my bluff is kind of a telling thing in itself. Is she being defensive because she kind of knows it's a trap for mafia? Does she not have any other scum partners around at the moment to run this idea by?
I'm thinking she's scum, but I want to let this play out a little more to see.
