Well, there is one other matter that I want to discuss right while we are waiting for everyone else to chime in on things: your vote on Bronx, Stanleypalmtree.
One vote is a prod. Two votes is some serious pressure. The third vote was the tipping point for a possible bandwagon. I can't say that I don't understand the reason for voting on Bronx, since I will admit that I was suspicious of him myself. However, your vote on Bronx was seen as suspicious from the moment you made it by SalvaPot and FlameAC. What do you have to say about your vote?

well its pretty clear how flame feels, but i sure would like to hear how everyone else feels about squidyj. also odin, apology accepted, i wasn't mad or anything, just wondering if there was any reason behind it. Once again, Stanley, you drop by and say nothing but you are at least around I guess. You can say how you feel about Squidy to start. I don't have much to say to this post, I just wanted to see if I could get the multiquote to work and I think I did. I agree with your assessment of the votes, the third and fourth are the ones that really set the lynch in stone in a small game like this. If Squidy hadn't started slipping and saying nonsense, I would be asking Stanley similar questions.

wait, are you asking my choice to vote, or slava/flame's reaction to it?
either way i dont really regret it, i felt fairly sure that he was mafia, and his response to the voyes on him did nothing to change my mind (hell terra even mentioned it feeling too easy), and with no other obvious choices to vote for i didn't feel that 3 votes was pushing it too far. however i really should have been more clear and immediate about my reasons for the vote, it felt obvious at the time, but looking back i can really how out of nowhere it would have looked.

and no squidyj, i dont care about opinions on flame right now. as for how i feel about him? i think he has been mistaken about a few of his arguments, but thats just semantics, the core of his argument is solid, and at least for now thats good enough for me.

I think SkyOdin is asking why you voted then, you were the third one and that really got the ball rolling. Correct me if I'm wrong though SkyOdin.
Now that you mention it though, I'd like to hear what you have to say about Salva and I coming against you for your vote.
Also, what are your thoughts on Squidy, and I suppose me if we're the focus right now.

asking for thoughts on me, but you don't really care about opinions on Flame? not even enough to give your own? I actually want to try following up on a variety of different leads. We have two scum to chase down, after all. I don't think Flame is entirely off the hook from being scum. That one oddity where he was so quick to support SalvaPot's suspicion of Stanley is still bugging me somewhat. There is a chance that Flame is being eager to get people lynched, and was looking around for a good target during Day 1. However, he has been fairly active and questioning a lot as well, so i can't rule him out as town either. Overall, I think he is someone to be watched still. So, I find both Stanley and Flame to be suspicious for various reasons. However, I am a rather uncertain at the moment, since I ended up being very wrong about Bronx.

So I want to go in a bit of a different direction if you guys don't mind and ask this question... why was Ouro killed?
To start with, Ouro was the one who hammered the vote on Bronx, who resulted to be a townie. So from a scum perspective, killing Ouro night one may not be that smart a strategy, because on day 2 town would probably focus on those that hammered the vote (and its kind of happening now, with the current suspicion on squid), so really, for scum to want to off Ouro... I think something tipped them off in believe he could be a town PR (and he was) or because how strong he came on to one of the scum players.
Something I noticed, reading back, is how constantly he was on skyodin. It was around that time that ouro noticed I mentioned the 2/9 odds of lynching a town PR, and I think this, as the same skyodin pointed, and I think this might have tipped Ouro off as a town PR, because in this case it was Ouro, not me, who had more information than he should have.
I think scum caught wind of this and realized Killing Ouro now > Bear the burden on Day 2.
I think Ouro was onto something here, sky's first post today reads like he was going to run with Ouro's flip to begin with, as he was prepared for it. Maybe not the doctor part, but definitely that he was going to die.
Vote: skyodin

I... guess I shouldn't be surprised that people are suspicious of me today. Ouro was focused on me, and we didn't exactly get along, but that was a case of two active members of town rubbing each other the wrong way and becoming suspicious of each other. I am actually still a little miffed at Ouro, because his hammer vote on Bronx ended the game early. About two hours before the end of Day 1, I checked the thread, but was still uncertain on who to vote for. I came back 25 minutes later, and by then Nin1000 had revoted and Ouro had hammered. Thanks a lot Ouro.
Anyways, I wouldn't say that I am tunneling on squid. On the contrary, I think we have squeezed as much information out of squidyj as we are going to get for now, and I think we should move on to discuss something else today. I don't want use to get stuck going over the same points again and again, after all. Right now, there are two people I am leaning town on: Nin1000 and Terrabyte. Nin1000 because he backed off on his vote, at least temporarily, to avoid a turbo. Terrabyte because he was ultimately correct about Bronx. It was too easy of a lynch.
Other than those two (and myself, obviousy), I am suspicious of everyone else to varying degrees. That is SalvaPot, squidyj, FlameAC, and StanleyPalmtree. A lot of this suspicion is being carried over from yesterday. FlameAC and squidyj are probably the two people I find most suspicious right now. I don't have a lot of time right this second, so I'll be back in a bit with more a detailed break-down.

I mean, it's not like I'm Sorian over here. I've got less than 10 posts more than SkyOdin and Nin, but okay I guess. Is there anything you want me to try and defend myself with or are you just going to leave that vote and disappear? Can't you add a little bit more?
So is the choice today coming down to SkyOdin, Squidy, and myself? (Votes of 2,1, and 2 respectively I think.)

Honestly I can't shake the feeling that terra has been lazy on purpose, it just doesn't sit well with me. His posts read like something you'll see on the spectators thread, not the actual game. Where is the drive, terra?

I mean, I kind of agree with you Salva, but I don't think Terra is scum. At least he hasn't led me to think so just yet. If he doesn't come back around and give some reasoning though, it's going to be very suspicious.
If you do show up Terra, can you comment on the other people in the spotlight today, Squidy and SkyOdin?

Where is the drive, terra? To be honest, I'm not quite sure. I haven't hit burn out, as I don't feel like this is becoming a chore or anything like that, but I do notice that I'm not taking this as seriously as I normally do. Squidy seems like his normal self. This doesn't mean he's town, but he hasn't deviated from his norm. He's a bit of a null read, with an ever so slight hint of scum mixed in. Not enough for me to accuse him, but I wouldn't be opposed to offing him. SkyOdin comes off as a newbie to me. I'm not quite sure whether it's newbTown or NewbScum yet, but I am leaning town at the moment. As for why I voted flame, that is 100% gut. For some reason I just don't like your posts and actions. Nothing is wrong with them that others haven't done, but for some reason I just can't get comfortable with you at the moment. I will admit, however, that It's starting to feel a bit familiar to when I play with Zippedpinhead, and I always feels he's scum then so take that how you will.

Where is the drive, terra? I thought like that yesterday but looking back on things over the night I decided that I don't necessarily feel that Terra is scum. He's coming off more like a newb or GReen player. It's disappointing because I think terra can do better for town but I'm really not reading him as scum right now.

What excellent reasoning Terra. I mean, I can't really comment on how you see similarities to Zipped, but I don't know if that's really good enough reason to lynch someone. YOu say you have essentially a null read on Squidy, that's surprising to me because I think he's made some very polarizing comments that are sure to generate an opinion. You're leaning town on SkyOdin, so then do you think that Nin and Salva are wrong about him? Why?

Post by Terrabyte20xx on Apr 10, 2016 12:59:05 GMT -8
I don't see him as contradictory. That's what I look for when I play mafia, who's consistent, who's not, and why is that.
And I never said my vote on you meant I wanted you lynched, it simply means I want pressure put on you. Notice how I said I was down with a Squidy Lynch.
And yes, he's made controversial statements, but they're consistent with his tone. To be honest I would lean town on him if he didn't trigger my gut as lean scum, the two cancel out to become null.

My top two scum right now are skyodin and terra, followed closely by flame.
I dislike squids playstyle, but he is definitely playing townsquid, not scumsquid.
I am a bit worried about how much of a null read nin is to me right now. And I completely forgot stanley was in the game, even after I voted him last day. Hmm.

After Terrabyte's recent burst of activity, the two people who have said the least today are definitely StanleyPalmtree and Nin1000. Third lowest would be you, SalvaPot.
By the way, is there anything I have done to make me seem scummy other than Ouro's suspicion of me? And do you agree with Ouro's reading of me, ignoring the fact that he was lynched? You didn't say anything about me one way or the other on Day 1..
Now, Nin1000 thinks I'm suspicious because I was focusing in heavily on Squidyj early in this Day phase, and that could perhaps be true. However in my defense, I've been casting plenty of suspicion at Flame and Stanley as well.

I did have an opinion on you on Day 1, my second post was me defending you, sky, from Ouro's suspicions, I did believe that your post was more trying to get the ball rolling for town, than scum hiding behind trying to be helpful. But there is no denying the context of Ouro's dead and that context puts you as the player with the biggest motivation to off him.

Post by skyodin on Apr 10, 2016 15:02:40 GMT -8
The thing is, if Ouro had survived the night, then I wouldn't be under suspicion at all. And while the Mafia might have guessed that Ouro had a power role based on his interest in the subject, I am not certain that they did. I definitely didn't suspect that Ouro had a power role. I was suspicious of the guy, and thought that he might have been mafia trying to dig up other power roles. Well, the mafia might have been more clever than me about that fact.
However, the end result of Ouro's death is that I am in a position of suspicion. Ouro was suspicious of me to the last, and I was left in a vulnerable position at the end of Day 1 for a simple reason: I was the only person in the game who had not yet cast a vote. I fully admit that that doesn't look good, and I will be cursing Ouro for a while for hammering when he did because of that. However, it is also something that the Mafia might have made note of.
I can't say it for certain, but the possibility exists that the Mafia tried to frame me with Ouro's death. The Mafia just needs two mislynchs in order to force Lylo. Thus, casting suspicion on a townie is a good plan. All they had to do was nightkill someone who had a clear "opponent", and then bring up suspicion on that "opponent" the next day. If that caused enough confusion to cause town to mislynch, then the Mafia is in a good position. Since I was the one with the uncast vote, and because Ouro was so focused on me in particular, I was a natural choice to frame.
All this leads to the fact that you are the one who is using this possible gambit I just laid out, Salva.
Vote: SalvaPot
Now, the other person I am still suspicious of is FlameAC. There is one activity in particular that makes me wonder about him: he seems to be eager to narrow down the field to a limited number of possible targets, which constrains our discussion. Moreover, he seems more eager to dump suspicion from himself onto another talked about target, rather than earnest scum-hunting. He has spent most of today asking other people's opinions on me and Squidyj. He is looking for someone who is just a bit more suspicious than himself, and does seem more interested in avoiding a lynch on himself than in finding scum.
|
|
|
Post by SalvaPot on Apr 10, 2016 15:14:40 GMT -8
But again, there was no need to actually frame you, because Ouro pretty much setup himself to be lynched today if he had survived the night. Scum players had NO good reason to kill him other than believing it was dangerous for him to play another day, and this means, again, that the one with the most motivation to kill him was you.
This is all assuming you are actually scum, and in this particular narrative I think you are.
