Hey all! I'm super excited to spectate this game. I have a question tho - if you're scum, would you just act really town because your only win condition is to have at least one scum on the list? Actually, what does 'acting town' mean anyway? There's no flips or anything...
Hmm, if every scum was to claim town, then the neutrals could mess things up because if they claim neutral or something then town knows that they can trust the two neutrals, so the margin for error is a lot less. Though when it comes to the neutrals claiming, they know it'll benefit town if they both claim, but it wouldn't be so great for them because Town is incentivized to bring both neutrals onboard to help them win, and neutrals don't want that...
However, scum can have two scum claim neutral, and one scum claim town, which'll mess that up because Town wouldn't know which neutral to trust. But then if that's the case Town could just decide to choose escapees out of the remaining Town group, which has only one scum in it, so the odds of scum winning wouldn't be that great in that case either, and the neutrals would be pretty screwed too. So...maybe it'll just be better if scum all claim town?
Though if you're town, you don't trust anyone else, so you'll want to get yourself on the escapee list since you know you're town. I guess if you're town, you'll want to betray moreso than the average scum will?
Man this game is weird. I don't even know how betrayal will work.

ROUND 1
Launch -> will choose ALLY... oh, Launch will pretend to be a slimy flip-flopper struggling against the mainstream, but in the end he'll totes conform
Terra -> will choose BETRAY... Terra's in it for the glory
Crimson -> will choose ALLY... Crimson seems solid and dependable and can be relied on to do the right thing
nin -> will choose ALLY... After running WWE, he's just here to relax, enjoy a nice, slow-paced vacation game in the comfort of others taking the reins of control for a change
RNH -> will choose ALLY... RNH is here to atone for his terrible, terrible WWE sins, whether he realizes it or not
Scrafty -> will choose ALLY... Scrafty's here for the long game and she's determined to survive and win, especially after the trouble in WWE. This time, her instincts will lead her to victory
Kalor -> will choose ALLY... Even though Kalor is paired with Sorian this round, the drama between this trio will end up as a subtle fight between Sorian and Retro for Kalor's mindshare, and Kalor will defiantly resist them both yet in relative silence
Sorian -> will choose BETRAY... Sorian will try to cross-examine both Kalor and Retro in the attempt to influence them to his will, but he will succumb to terrible, terrible doubt in the critical moment and do the opposite of whatever he was hinting to them
Retro -> will choose BETRAY... Retro doesn't trust Sorian at all, but will inadvertently end up making the same choice that Sorian does out of sheer random chance
also, carrots are awful unless they're in carrot cake

Launch starting strong with the offense, Scrafty setting up her defenses
Terra pushing for the ALLY choice, obvious he's gonna do the opposite and BETRAY in the end, just like I'm sayin' ¬_¬

Looks rough for Scrafty. It looks like she's setting up to Betray, so I feel like between Nin and RNH one of them will pick Betray, though I suppose things can change. Her most recent post is a little better in regards to the 'maybe she will ally' department. Still, I'm not sure what info she can gain with this kind of play from the reveal, because if it flips Betray on the Nin&RNH side it'll be easy for people to point at her early-game behavior.
Also, her most recent post:
reads as scummy to me. If you're town, I feel like you'd know that you don't need to escape, but it'll be really hard to win without you on the escapees list since there's only 4 town and 3 spots, and this kind of play doesn't make sense for a neutral, who needs to escape. I feel like scum are the ones who will be most comfortable sitting back because they only need one of their number on the list to win.
Also yeah I agree, Terra's 'Come on Scrafty, have some faith in humanity!' and 'Ally is the obvious choice' posts feel like he's going to betray lmao.
Edit: OK after some time Scrafty is pretty town. Generating discussion and seems aggressive and willing to put herself out there. I completely misread her opening posts.

Woot nice post RNH! I think betraying should definitely be de-stigmatized, or at least, should not be seen as a 'bad' or 'scummy' thing to do. It is much more of a Town/Neutral weapon than a scum weapon imo. Currently getting scummy feelings from Terra (not sure if it's because of old WWE war scars, but something about the way he's acting, the negative way he talks about betraying, and...again...his lack of contributions lmao) and Launchpad.

I can't read Terra at all. He could have either been scum or town to me in WWE, and most other games I've watched/played with him in.
He's a true blind spot.
