Pretty sure the rift is supposed to have a removable insert that gives some more room for glasses. Vive felt pretty comfortable w/ glasses in the short amount of time I used one at PAX, not sure about extended use yet though.
I remember Oculus talking about how they want to try to accommodate people wearing glasses a while back but I haven't seen anything recently on it.
Won't VR work like binoculars? I'm very nearsighted but binoculars work perfectly. Maybe it doesn't work for farsightedness? I never actually thought of it before. :v
This seemed like an obvious feature for the (expensive) models going on sale, but none of them have a diopter adjustment for near/far sightedness. The best you can do is switch lenses or just wear glasses inside them.
Weird because as you said binoculars have them and it's much easier to use them with glasses than a VR headset.
