I want to try vr, but it is so ridiculously expensive, especially here in Europe.

I have tried rift dk 2, and it was... ok? It was really uncomfortable to use with glasses, though...

Why isn't that the big question of every VR article? How do you sell a thing to nerds when all of them wear the one thing on their face that would make VR uncomfortable?

I will give them a go this year at EGX, the queues were pretty huge last year and I was mostly drunk.
....Yeah, on second thought I might not try VR. I don't plan on staying sober.

I remember Oculus talking about how they want to try to accommodate people wearing glasses a while back but I haven't seen anything recently on it.

Pretty sure the rift is supposed to have a removable insert that gives some more room for glasses. Vive felt pretty comfortable w/ glasses in the short amount of time I used one at PAX, not sure about extended use yet though.

I'm very nearsighted but binoculars work perfectly. Maybe it doesn't work for farsightedness? I never actually thought of it before. :v

But no luck However, I think this confirms that VR was made by wizards. Although... I dont think I can use binoculars?

I'm very nearsighted but binoculars work perfectly. Maybe it doesn't work for farsightedness? I never actually thought of it before. :v This seemed like an obvious feature for the (expensive) models going on sale, but none of them have a diopter adjustment for near/far sightedness. The best you can do is switch lenses or just wear glasses inside them. Weird because as you said binoculars have them and it's much easier to use them with glasses than a VR headset.
