VOTE: cabot
...got distracted by Civ (just wanted to finish the game I'd almost won last night... and it took two hours). Looks like y'all didn't need my insight, though.

I guess we're actually voting here instead of NeoGAF PMs, so:

I hope Wolf team doesn't mind that I changed the rules a little bit to a public vote since you all seemed to surrender. So, first off: Order of Night ActionsThe Doppelganger, FluxWaveZ, chose to copy Splinter, becoming a doppel-mason.The werewolves, Mazre and Cornb, verify each other. The mystic wolf, Cornb, sees that cabot is the robber. The minion, Xamtheking, sees verifies both Mazre and Cornb. The Tanner's Wife, Terrabyte20xx, verifies the Tanner, Kawl_USC.The Masons, Lone_Prodigy and *Splinter, verify each other and also the Doppel-Mason, FluxWaveZ.Apprentice Seer sits in center 2, unassigned. The Robber, cabot, steals the vanilla werewolf card from Mazre, turning Mazre into a robber and cabot into a vanilla werewolf. The Witch, Sawneeks, takes the Apprentice Seer card from center 2 and forces it onto Kawl_USC. The Tanner card is moved to center 2. Worst PM I've ever received Sawneeks The Troublemaker sits in center 1, unassigned. The Drunk sits in center 3, unassigned. The Insomniac, Zippedpinhead, falls asleep and wakes up as the same role, the insomniac. The Villager, Ri'Orious, takes no night action and is not swapped or changed.Final Roles Village Team
FluxWaveZ as the Doppel-Mason Kawl_USC as the Apprentice Seer Lone_Prodigy as Mason 2 Mazre as the Robber Ri'Orious as the Villager Sawneeks as the Witch Spliner as Mason 1 Terrabyte as the Tanner's Wife Zippedpinhead as the Insomniac Werewolf Team
cabot as the Vanilla WW
Cornb as the Mystic Wolf Xamtheking as the Minion Tanner Team
Sorian as the Sad Gamerunner The Village Wins

Awards
Game MVP: Cornb - With a bit of luck that troublemaker claim was really working for awhile there and if Mazre had not caught on that he was no longer a wolf, you were in clear sailing for a Kawl lynch (which would have been even better if Kawl was still the tanner). Unfortunately, ONUW is a very swingy game (by design because it is typically played in a much shorter time frame than we can do in a post-by-post format) and having a wolf that switches teams and can 100% verify that can cause a betrayal that completely ends the game which is what happened here. That being said though, you put in a lot of work for the role that you had.
Scum Honorable Mention: Xamtheking - I'm assuming done purposely, you stayed out of the game proceedings but were still a constant presence throughout. Using your reputation a bit you worked the crowd just enough to think that you were a sloppy liar and you seemed to be the second possibility after Kawl. As you said, minion can be a werewolf tanner essentially and you played that up well.
Town MVP: Sawneeks and Splinter - Both of you were putting in the most work of keeping everyone engaged and actually keeping the claims falling into place. Sawneeks single handedly destroyed the tanner dream which I, personally, hate but is a great thing to do as town in this game (though it's all pure luck on the side of village PRs anyway) and Splinter got the ball rolling with his mason claim and subsequent forcing of everyone else to claim. He was falling hook, line, and sinker for the troublemaker claim but you can't blame it at all since Corn snuck that in there so perfectly and there was no one to counter claim.
------
I hope everyone enjoyed ONUW 9. It's always a rough deal when a wolf can 100% sell out a teammate and the only mitigation that was available to mess around with people's insecurities (the drunk and the troublemaker) were both in the middle so that didn't help things at all.

All of you should be able to see and post in the spec thread. Not to much happened over there but always worth the look

It was a bit confusing for me to follow, but I at least got the proper gist of how this works for next time. A few role claims and the wolves immediately lost here, though. Guessing it's not always that simple especially when, like stated above, there are other active roles that mess around with Town.

Seems like an adequate result to never play onuw again

Correct, I mostly have the game tuned well enough for village or wolves to have a fighting shot (lol tanner though the wife helps a ton) but then depending on what three roles are removed from play, things become very swingy. Without a drunk or troublemaker to confuse things, this was very cut and dry. If not for cabot robbing a wolf, this game was actually going to be a pretty vanilla find the scum type situation but corn's troublemaker claim made cabot secure in claiming the truth which killed him in the end.

Also, I think I got a notification for the spectator thread, but now I can't see it. Hmm was wondering if what I did would work, I guess it didn't. Going to flip something instead (I'm sure I could just find Retro to do this the correct way but meh) so none of you will be able to post in this thread but the spec thread will be viewable and postable, discussion can just combine there

There spec access granted, and posting in this thread should, theoretically, be disabled.
