I know a few of you are playing, lets puzzle this shit out. SPOILER TAG EVERYTHING PLEASEFor starters, I can't get the last of the "bird song" puzzles. I know exactly what to do (I think), but I'm so tone deaf I can't figure out the tune being sung...
This one sings "long, short, short, short" and the board shows "short, short, short, long". I don't want to know how to resolve that, just the high/medium/low sequence.

Great idea splinter! Judging from the main GAF thread, a lot of people don't seem to grasp that if someone is asking for help, they want hints and not full on solutions. Hot puzzle hint for you guys : For the first puzzle draw a straight line! I am the smartest!

Another I'm not sure on, this is in the "Desert" area. 4th board I think? I got the first few, but this one is mostly in shadow so I can't see enough to solve it. So am I supposed to: 1. Come back to it later, maybe I will be able to move the sun at some point? Or just move the pillar causing the shadow, although I don't remember it having any wires.
or
2. Trial and error? I don't want to brute force my way through things, but in this case there are only 3 or 4 possibilities, so maybe it's intended?
or
3. Try again because I'm missing something more obvious

Guys, is this game really worth 40 bucks? It looks like something I should grab for 20 or so...

FUCK YEAH EAT SHIT HEDGE MAZES! You know what the fucked up thing was with hedge maze 2? First time I tried it, i was playing on my laptop on low settings. The draw distance of the grass sucks ass on low. So that puzzle was way harder then it should have been. Hedge maze 3 and 4 were easy after that.

If you don't then it's hard to say, but I definitely think it's a great example of the genre (which I don't play much of). It is kind of similar to Mist, but without any pixel hunting or the "unfair" puzzles you occasionally get in those games. Also reminds me of Fez, for a more recent example. It's better than any of these examples though (imo)

3 was nice, but feels like something you'd get straight away or not at all

Let's see if I jump onto the hype train soon...

I liked the exploration and non-linear progression side of Fez, too many of its puzzles were stupid/unfair though

How are people doing with motion sickness on this? Burb mentioned it and I'm super susceptible to it, so I'm hesitant to buy it. (If it were $20 or less I would just do it, but $40 is a bit too steep.)

I'm not susceptible to it at all but my fiancée definitely is and she'll probably be around watching me play this evening.

I got 2 relatively quickly because there is another puzzle like it in Town that I had already done so I thought to look for it. I'm still stuck on 3 but I haven't played it since yesterday so I've been thinking about what I need to do during the day. How are people doing with motion sickness on this? Burb mentioned it and I'm super susceptible to it, so I'm hesitant to buy it. (If it were $20 or less I would just do it, but $40 is a bit too steep.) I'm not affected by it but I know that people in the OT were affected by it. Though it seems that they might patch in some stuff to account for it soon.

3 was nice, but feels like something you'd get straight away or not at all I took two steps in 3 and immediately got it With 4 I immediately walked to the end, saw that the line maze looked different then the real maze, and just tried a path that both worked in the line maze and the real maze. Honestly, the final one where you have to remember the paths of all four of them was harder then 1, 3 and 4. How are people doing with motion sickness on this? Burb mentioned it and I'm super susceptible to it, so I'm hesitant to buy it. (If it were $20 or less I would just do it, but $40 is a bit too steep.) I have had no problems with it, but I am not very susceptible to it. You can change the FOV in the pc version with launcher commands, so that could help.

Well, you got me. I bought it. If I hate it, I'll get a refund from Steam. Unfortunately, I won't have time to play tonight - I'm buried in school work.

So my fiancée who is also very very susceptible to motion sickness had the initial reaction of it not working well with her but she was able to watch for most of the night but with multiple breaks.

Keep at it Roy, it's soooo good
I thought it would be a bit limited at the start, since every puzzle is basically some line drawing, but I can't remember any puzzle game I enjoyed this much and for this long

This may be the smartest game I ever played, I am constantly amazed with how much they do with such a simple concept. And getting that first + puzzle was mind blowing.

#notsostealthbrag
Nailed the four hedgemaze puzzles right away this morning. Hedgemaze 2 was the only one that took a bit of time but I was trying the solution to 4 for number 2 originally before figuring it out (so I was automatically checking that for the rest of them as well).
