So, shipping Wakka and Yuna. I guess there has to be some mechanic to tie into that as with Anime, but there's way more variance, I assume there's not any(many) duplicate ships.
We're Nonsensical shippers, so I guess scum as champions of love would be sane/canon shippers? So could be a ship cop which would hint at alignments.

Ordinary again? Am I cursed? Oh well, at least I like Yuna. Lets see, looking at the player list: 1. [m] Muffin1611 & [f] Samuraischnecke - Both new to Mafia, but they're supposedly in the same house so I suspect there will be a lot of communication. 2. [m] TheExodu5 & [m] Fireblend - These two don't seem like they'd have a lot of group chat, so keep an eye on them if they seem coordinated in any way. 3. [m] Fat4all & [m] Sorian - I would expect a lot of group chat between these two regardless of alignment. Both of them are fairly chatty, and Sorian may indulge in his partner's silliness if they're genuinely together as a pair. 5. [m] TsuXna & [m] Royal_Flush - TsuXna's new, but seemed awfully chatty in the chat. Royal's not too big on quick chat I noticed. Dunno what to expect from this pair. 6. [m] franconp & [m] Dr. Worm - Fran's a decent talker, but dunno about Dr. Worm. 7. [m] Xbro & [m] TheGoddamn - Xbro's new, dunno much. 8. [m] Trigger & [m] Ty4on - Ty4on was very talkative when we played Love Boat 1, and that made him come off as more reserved in the game itself. Contrast to how he usually plays in solo games. Trigger I dunno much. I'd look for signs of talkative as a potential scum tell but... 9. [f] kitsunelaine & [m] flatearthpandas - Dunno what to think. Haven't played with Kitsunelaine yet. 10. [m] Natiko & [m] Nomadic Sparks - Nomadic is a bit silly, but Natiko is pretty chatty. Regardless of alignment, I think we might see some cooperation with them as Nomadic is "mentored" in a sort of way. I'd be wary of Nomadic makes no mistakes tho. 11. [m] Verelios & [f] WhereAreMahDragonz - I expect a bit of doing their own thing on this. Dragonz iz more likely to try and chat up in a private chat, should they exist, so I'm gonna keep an eye out for that. 12. [m] Ourobolus & [m] kingkitty - I expect a lot of chat from these too. Not sure we can read their alignment from cohesiveness 13. [m] Orb & [m] TheWorthyEdge - Dunno what to think. 14. [f] StarSketch & [m] SexyFish - Don't expect this to be a too talkative pair, based upon what I know. 15. [-] Darryl & [m] nin1000 - This pair is too hilarious. I think they'll probably do their own thing, instead of really talking stuff out. I usually have good reads on both of them anyhow. So, shipping Wakka and Yuna. New players aside, doesn't seem like we have any especially gambity people, so day 1 should be relatively sane.

Ouro seems most likely to gambit, and yeah that's why I expect Darryl and Nin will just do their own things. Although I'd be amused if post game we find out they have the best love boat chat out of anyone. >_>; |

My inner devil says "What kind of gambit are we talking about here?" I'm not sure what we could actually do for a gambit that wouldn't just hurt town in the long run, due to being ordinary. |

hmm, one I thought of a while back was open claiming to have an override, and that you'll use it on someone in half an hour, why shouldn't it be you? Pros: Scum will probably be paranoid enough to take it seriously, expected response would be them not posting until it's used to avoid attention; gives a day 1 discussion topic; fun. Cons: It probably wouldn't be believed so wouldn't be taken very seriously, town would probably lynch for it; Not posting isn't a scum tell, lots of people won't post in the first half hour anyway; it's unlikely to actually benefit town in any real tangible way. Actually going with a gambit probably isn't the best idea  |

Override gambit wouldn't work as we don't have any powers to back it up. It'd just be taken as a lie.
I'm looking at the pairs posting pre-game. I have a hunch that scum is not as likely among them.

Or actually, I might try and play this game a bit passively... I feel like I could find some good stuff with 30 players pretty easily. Being in a pair means it's easy to slip up.

I guess add easy mislynches to that list as well. Star often gets heat, I'm sure one of the new players will make the mistake of pushing for a no lynch, normally been a town thing when it's happened in the past.
