Mini Mafia was also backed up by some extremely solid town play too, especially from Ynnny and Kawl.
In general, what wins games is solid efforts by all of town, not crazy gambits or power roles.

Seriously. We got to this weird meta where we don't lynch coasters. I can excuse it like on D1 or if it's clear someone has something IRL, but come D2 if you aren't doing shit I'm gonna call you out on it.

I wont be duped into this! (WHATEVER THIS IS)!!!" ... ? >> DO NOT COLLECT 200 DOLLAHS AT THE GO POINT >> PROCEED TO SNATCH DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTARY RIP TOWN

Please.PLEASE, JUST LOOK AT THE COASTING PLAYERS.This comes hand in hand with the "all of town" part, as Ynnny noted. This is why it's really important that activity and dedication towards playing are emphasized. If you've got a 20 player game with 3-5 scum, and you also have 3-5 inactive town who are barely meeting the posting requirement, then scum has half the playerbase to hide in. Which is a recipe for disaster even if called out by other town players.

I would venture a guess that people don't want to be "mean" to new, or inexperienced players, i.e. coasters. Cause we kinda support some weird carebear shit that reinforces it. We've also been unwilling to straight ban problematic players who do it repeatedly.

I think it's because going after coasters is just kinda boring. At least, that's why I've always left it for other people to do, but nowadays noone wants to go fishing in the coasters so they just keep living.
Also more cop/gambit advice for hey_monkey:
Even as a real cop, if you claim a red check on scum you'll lynch them, but the rest of scum team won't fight it so you don't get as much info. If you can, it's better to push for the lynch on a pretend scumread, see who defends it hardest etc, then only claim cop if necessary to finish the job. You might even get the lynch without claiming at all (although be aware that in most circumstances this would still lead to being night killed, and plan accordingly).
In general terms, a closely contested scum lynch is far, far more valuable than an easy scum lynch.

A good cop would have pushed for that without having to role claim.

What the hell is dusk doing. They might actually be able to salvage something from this if town follows through (lol), but he's just asking them to waste another lynch on him.

Yeah, you had no reason to behave like you did today, dusk. come clean and be lynched, but badmouthing town after you lead them into a mislynch by claiming cop and not revealing anything... srsly.
If hatmoza really is the town tracker you brought even more misery to town through your reckless play today.

Yeah i have a bad tendency to come across as preachy and smug, when i think I'm right.
My main point was i wanted them to look at the coasters, the players scared to comment on the kyan situation.
Cutting the night phase short threw me off. I thought I would have gotten way more time to read through D3.
If my gambit leads wmd to the scum team then it still worked though.

The problem really is that one of the main scum leads for example palmer was pushing in D2 was indeed scum. But now I think people won't even remember that lead.

I've seen this play out enough times to know how it was going to go down. Polturgust was going to be lynched and one of the players who voted him out would have paid for it the next day. I don't think anyone was paying attention to Palmer's reads regardless because of what happened to hey_monkey
