You guys have no idea how boned I was during this game. The alpha wolf picked LITERALLY THE WORST TARGET HE COULD HAVE. How do you know who he/she picked? Because a lot of people saw tanner in card 4. And the tanner was.......me. And before the game I made a plan to be a very aggressive tanner, making a fast fake role claim that hopefully would blow up in my face and get me lynched. So making me a wolf was THE WORST THING THE ALPHA WOLF COULD HAVE DONE, BY FAR.

I did realize i was probably a wolf now, but you know, changing from playing as town to wolf is already hard, but changing from playing as a (aggressive) tanner trying to get himself lynched with a fake role claim to wolf? Nearly impossible.

What the fuck happened last night? Our doppelganger, Pop-O-Matic, wakes up first and looks longingly at Terrabyte20xx. Pop-O-Matic becomes the doppel-minion. Our werewolves, MikeHawk and RetroMG, wake up next and nod to each other. The Alpha Wolf, MikeHawk, replaces Roytheone's tanner card with the vanilla werewolf card. The Mystic Wolf, RetroMG, viewed Scrafty's card and saw that she was the drunk. The minions, Terrabyte20xx and Pop-O-Matic, secretly watched MikeHawk and RetroMG at their meeting. The lone mason, Lone_Prodigy, woke to find no partner. The seer, SalvaPot, checks cards 3 and 4 in the center. He finds both the Tanner's Wife and the Tanner. The witch, Zippedpinhead, takes card 4, the tanner and forces it on............ someone. Himself The troublemaker in both role and real life, Splinter, switches cabot and Roytheone. cabot becomes a vanilla werewolf and Roy becomes cursed. The drunk, Scrafty, selects card number 3 and becomes the Tanner's wife. Finally, our one unaccounted player thus far, Kawl_USC, always was and always will be our prince. (In this game only ) Beginning of Game Rolescabot [m] Cursed Kawl_USC [m] Prince Lone_Prodigy [m] Mason 2 MikeHawk [m] Alpha Wolf Pop-O-Matic [m] Doppel-Minion RetroMG [m] Mystic Wolf Roytheone [m] Tanner SalvaPot [m] Seer Scrafty [f] Drunk Splinter [m] Troublemaker Terrabyte20xx [m] Minion Zippedpinhead [m] Witch Center 1 Mason 1 Center 2 Robber Center 3 Tanner's Wife Center 4 Vanilla Werewolf End of Game TeamsThe Town: Kawl_USC as the Prince Lone_Prodigy as the Mason Roytheone as the CursedSalvaPot as the Seer Splinter as the Troublemaker The Wolf Team: cabot as the Vanilla Wolf MikeHawk as the Alpha Wolf Pop-O-Matic as the Doppel-Minion RetroMG as the Mystic Wolf Roytheone as the Cursed Wolf Terrabyte20xx as the Minion The Tanner Team: Scrafty as the Tanner's Wife Zippedpinhead as the Tanner Center roles: Mason 1, Robber, Drunk, Witch With a vote of 6-5 again, one person will be lynched, either Roytheone or Terrabyte20xx, who wins? Oh, I meant to put one more thing in that post. If Splinter had told the truth from the beginning, this whole mess would have been over in 10 minutes. Yea, but shenanigans for the shenanigans god. False claims for the false claims throne. Splinter demands they be appeased. Also, Prince felt kind of frustrating to play as. I don't know, felt like I had little way to have an impact on the game.

It's in the game so that others can hide within a lie and, as the prince, your only real control is if things are looking bleak, you have to hope you can maybe let yourself be a scapegoat with someone else that you think is a wolf to be the second best option and hope that you garner a few straggler votes for that person.

Also if town wins while some how being outnumbered by the wolves :lol

Side note: When I switch roy for the vanilla wolf, shouldn't the minions see Roy, me and Retro as wolves? I did that in ONUW 6 but it was an error on my part. It actually wasn't a huge deal though because the mystic wolf actually saw who the vanilla wolf was anyway so while it created an unfair advantage it was actually very small. The correct way to do it is that the minion only sees the wolves that know they are wolves. Story reasoning is that the minion is spying on the wolves meeting in secret. The vanilla wolf does not know he is a wolf yet

As is the way of things, the villagers grab their sacrifice and lay him on the stone slab down by the beach. The man in the beanie watches with a cold expression on his face. He does not care who the sacrifice is but he knows that insanity will not makes its way to this town today. Roytheone, paralyzed with fear, waits as the creatures emerge from the ocean.
The Deep Ones survey the situation, see their prize on the altar, and drag his body underwater. A few moments pass and then the small red hue forms away from the shore. A wolf's head floats to the surface.
"So much evil in this village and you decide to kill one of your own. I recommend the rest of the evil leave this village. Father Dagon seems to have enjoyed the malevolence that comes with a werewolf soul."
At these words, the town looks around to find that only 6 people remain.
The blight on Innsmouth has left, for now.
Congratulations, The Town Wins!

Also, with me being a wolf in this game, i was team wolf 4 out of 5 games of ONUW i played. I think that beats even Fire his score. So Retro was so kind to give me this shiny new tag.

So in the end Splinter still wins the game with his original switch...if he was serious about getting people to vote for Terra it's fitting that this game was essentially Splinter vs Splinter.

End of Game NotesI want to open with a question. How did you let Retro get away with just outright saying that he checked one person as seer? I know it's possible and I know a few people kind of mentioned mystic wolf but no one really hounded him down with that line of questioning. I'll chock it up to the 36 seer claims though. Second, as I said, if Splinter had actually just led with the truth, a solution would have made itself clear right away (and Roy might have won with the town instead of lost with the wolves ). Roy caught on right away that he was probably the alpha target. If Splinter had just opened with saying he made the switch with Roy and cabot, I think this would have resolved onto a pretty heavy cabot vote. I mean, I can't be sure, of course, but that's the way it seems like it would have leaned to me. Zipped pulled the old turn themselves into the tanner routine which I've done to myself at least once in ONUW. Unfortunately, there was no help from a Tanner wife and poor Scrafty the drunk got placed onto the weakest team in the game which she may have picked up on halfway through but there was no way for her to guess who the Tanner was from what I was reading. As far as MVP, I'm not gonna lie, that's, um, a hard one to pass out this time. I will say that Kawl_USC impressed me with his logic throughout. He followed the game thoroughly and even with all the non-sense being thrown out, he seemed to have a valid way to test most claims, if people had actually played along with him. The robber gambit was clever too. Best seer goes to Zipped, I know he dropped out of the Seer race later into the thread but he knew he was tanner (assuming troublemaker didn't mention his name) and getting in on that seer bus early seemed like a good contradiction. Unfortunately, he would not be the last seer claim and he kind of got drowned out in the noise. Special mention to Terra for playing chess games the whole time and not taking Splinter at face value, Roy for having an existential crisis trying to figure out what team he was on to me in PMs, and Splinter for really becoming a true troublemaker.

God damn it, I thought Roy was town. Out of the 6 wolf team members, 4 voted for Roy
Edit: And that means that more wolves voted for Roy than town. Town actually wanted to nail Terra and they almost did but L_P got in the clutch vote that nailed Roy down.
