I'll admit that the game was slightly in scum's favor. The extra scum player was supposed to be balanced by the unrecruitable hidden partner, who was supposed to do as much harm to the scum team as good. Overall, the scum team was designed to be powerful, but easily frustrated.

Having six gave us freedom to play a little more obviously. We had a couple of spares.
But I'd say that the hidden partner really cramped scum decisions. I would have wanted to kill particular people, except they seemed to be helping scum. Also I played to them differently if I thought they were on my side, which got me blindsided by votes.
