...what would anyone have had to gain from protecting him though?
Protecting Gorlak? Dunno. I guess they believed his claim. Could be that Gorlak was 1-shot BP. Btw if LR was used last night, then the Mesmerize command would have been shifted to the person who cast LR right?
2 lynches this early in the game is actually good news for us i think. Town are still more likely to hit town than us. We are on no radars so far, but not everyone has checked in. If LR was activated though that would mean that watcher/tracker/investigation roles wouldn't see us at least.
This 10 post thing is interesting...we should be careful to have 'useful' information in each of our posts as lack of post depth during this day phase could be seen as a scumtell.
Kyan - I think I'm missing something, I'm dumb. Explain why you think there was a 1-shot LR?
i sent the command to have Gorlak target FEP. So if Gorlak used an LR, then it would have switched from whoever his original target was to FEP.
The only way anyone would know I have a switcher power is if Gorlak somehow got confirmation that his original target missed. But even then, he would have to explain how his power works and therefore, why it didn't work as intended.
...does my power work on gods? It only refers to players in the text, so I'm assuming it does.
Interesting that Sophia claimed a PR, too. Not gonna target her, just to be on the safe side.
Sorry for not explaining the deets, the day started 2AM local time so I just woke up to see the results, did not really have the eyes to do more.
In the message I got back from my ability I was told that I gained a new command to use, Activate. When used during the night, all night actions would target me during the night. I received 0 shots of this ability. Thus, the Lightning Rod was used last night and it had a higher priority than my Absorb.
All actions were redirected to the rod last night. The fact that nobody was killed suggests that Gorlak used his jailing too and essentially jailed the rod before Swamped's kill.
I cannot tell if Oceanic was the rod or not, as I was redirected too. We might be able to play the exclusion game during the day to find out the rod, or they even might come out themselves, now that their ability was used and it prevented a kill. The small positive to all this is that for us, this day we can be certain that nobody knows anything about our night actions. Nobody could track us.
...but if there is a watcher in the game, they now know every pr and scum member. Heh.
Time for a more serious post. Zipped's story at #516 seems like a message to us. Kids of 3 and 1 years of age. 1 god, three scum. How he wants the three to obey and remain calm. And how this leads to success.
Going forward, what should we do during the next night phase? I'm assuming Gorlak's definitely going to get lynched today; don't know who else, but assuming none of us kick it, I think we should target Crimson. He rubs me the wrong way, and I've got a gut feeling he's not a god.
Her gold curse is bogus or Zipped is lying. I don't think Zipped could lie and guess something like my absorb. While OA could be the lightning rod, it is by no means certain. I think that the lightning rod had the highest priority of all the actions, so everything got redirected at the rod. The rod was also a self-target, not something that you could place on others. Based on what we know so far, the night looked something like this:
order in priority
The actual order of other actions than the rod cannot really be determined.
Zipped has to be P. The people who benefit most from this is us. If he's claiming seven, when we know there were, in fact, nine, the other two can be claimed as pray and obey. No one will suspect that any other scum moves were used last night.
If he says nothing about target, I'll know he's protecting us.
