Nobody understands Kark, his plays make about as much sense as his math.

I understand Kark but that's only because I live with him. I'm egging on his role playing. It's the closet thing to getting him to write Batman fanfiction for me. Wasn't expecting that override. Seems a bit of a waste to use it so early. D:

There is also a separate spec chat in discord. If you want access, send me a message on there! Owh, you don't like Easter Bat? He only wants to hide chocolate eggs! And try to murder you when you are searching for them! Is the discord bat spec any busier than it is here? After seeing Easter Bat I tried to go to sleep. I awoke in a cold sweat, unable to move. Easter Bat was standing at the foot of my bed by my bedroom door. His whiskers twitched as I stared at him, he reeked of sulfur. Slowly he raised his hand, carefully balancing a painted egg on his palm. He looked at me, and then at the egg, his whikers twitching as he made chitter in sounds. After a mommet in a voice that was both deep and gravelly as well as high pitched and shriek like he said "soon" and in a deft motion he crushed the egg in his palm. He then let out a shriek, lightning flashed and I could hear my window shattering letting the rain patter against my windowsill. Easter Bat was gone, and in his place lay a basket. I still could not move, but even if I had been able to I do not think I would have opened the basket. ;____;

 Really interested in seeing how the roles correspond to the characters. Also why I didn't sign up. I would have been such a baby about getting a character I didn't like!

Poor Odin, I hope he comes here and not discord. I don't use discord, so here I am. For the record, I was banking on a presumption that there was one-day leeway given to newbies. Apparently I was overly optimistic. The scum in this game are scum. Though I am rather surprised that they targeted me of all people. I thought I had (inadvertently) demonstrated myself to be surprisingly gullible and easily misled.

Sorry about your death. As for your presumption, a lot of players mention it as a sort of unofficial rule, but all of those same people are more than willing to break that rule.

Hi. Join us in making bad jokes and wildly wrong speculation. And rooting for scum. Sorry about your death. As for your presumption, a lot of players mention it as a sort of unofficial rule, but all of those same people are more than willing to break that rule. They clearly need to pick A or B, but not both. I admit that I was making an effort to stand out a bit because I was a commuter. Ultimately, it was going to be a gamble no matter what. I though that the even day commuter were the better odds, so I don't really regret my choice. I'm just disappointed that I lost the coin-flip. Re: roytheone I still think there are decent odds that El topo was scum. Even if his roleclaim is true, there is a possibility that the scumchat blackout contributed to my death too. Or would that only kick in the next day? So, was I doing a good job? Did I make a monumental fool out of myself by even giving a second thought to Karkador let alone spending an hour breaking down the possible outcomes? Anything I could do better next time?

It was an odd choice, I admit. The 'polite' rule for newbies is really only for the day phase, there's no such thing for the night.
You seemed a bit shifty though, maybe they suspected you were a PR.

The reason you were killed was that you were a good, active player that didn't stand out in a way that would attract watchers and/or doctors. So you were a pretty safe kill that still would remove a good player from the game. So yeah, you actually did very well for your first time, or else scum wouldn't have bothered to kill you! Also, scum asked me to give you a message:

I guess I'll talk about my interpretation of Kark's list then. I was holding back a bit in the game thread actually, since I didn't want to out myself as someone with a power role. Now, I still have zero clue if Kark's list was completely made up or whether he actually had intel. However, a few things came together to make it hard for me to dismiss the possibility out of hand: 1) I was a named character with a power role 2) Karkador was roleplaying as Batman, a character my role would have some connection to. 3) Mazre, who was also on the list, had role-claimed as a vanilla townie, which made me suspect that he was anything but. 4) Both Mazre and Sorian were pretty antagonistic towards Karkador for making the list, but then backed off without a word a while later. I considered the fact that they had seen the same possibility that I had seen, and didn't want to draw too much further attention to the list.
Now, the #1 possibility that I was considering wasn't that the list was a list of townies or scum, but rather that it was a list of people with power roles. Probably not a complete list, but a list. I wasn't sure if it was a list of town power-roles, or a mixed list of town power roles and villains, but just in case, I wanted to avoid outing a list of power roles for mafia to target, with my name on said list! Sure, I wanted to draw attention to myself since I was a commuter, but I didn't want to get a cop or doctor killed too.
Here's my notes on the possibilities: "Can't discount the possibility that Karkador's Batcomputer actually means something. Kark certainly acts like he believes that it does.
Mazre, Sorian, Karu, SkyOdin El topo
I am a Named, Town, Power-role My scum reads right now are Mazre, El topo, Camjo-Z, and Trigger. Of these, two are on the list. Possibilities for lynching Mazre: Vanilla Town result: Computer is checking alignments, bold are town. Power-role Town result: Computer is checking alignment and/or power roles. Vanilla Scum Result: Computer is likely a Neapolitan Power-Role Scum Result: Computer is either Neopolitan or just Power-roles. • Possibilities for lynching El topo:
Vanilla Town Result: Computer is checking for power-roles or is Neopolitan Power-role Town Result: Computer confirmed to be useless/fake. Vanilla Scum result: Computer is sorting by alignment, italics are scum, bold are likely to be town OR Computer is sorting by power role Power-role Scum result: Computer is definitely scum-checking
Lynching both would give the greatest amount of data, since we can't confirm the full range of results without data. However, the risk of bold all being town power-roles is real, and thus I need to tread carefully."
Of course, at this point I am about 75% sure that Karkador just made up that list of names without any privileged information, so the joke is on me for putting this much thought and worry into it. Even if it is made up though, I have to give props to Karkador for creating a gambit this convincing and selling it so well in the thread. I could a learn a thing or two.
