Oh gosh. I just realized I can't vote to kill anyone. Why is it not possible for me to write a real name in the book should I receive it? What if I had a good read on who kira is? I can't just kill them for the sake of town, I have to convince everyone to not give them the book? Because we are not above the law and man deserves to be judged by society, not by an individual. That's the moral of the story.

Well, in normal mafia you would also need to convince other people to vote on your suspicion, unless you have an override. Same deal here. Also, you could give the book to someone you are sure agrees with you.

BAM (Pretend I just voted you) Are you sure you aren't scum? I am pretty sure I am not scum, because as far as I know, this game isn't made by you, so no risk of my role suddenly changing! Hmm ok, but I hope you aren't lying to me. I would be really disappointed if you did that. Consider yourself unvoted with a lingering stink eye Joking aside, where did this idea of only one Kira come from?

How the OP is worded and also something Kark said in the main mafia thread on Gaf. But our pm makes it sound like there are more (which is more likely tbh, only one scum would be very hard for them).

Noted. OA mentioned wanting all the players to participate. Is anyone missing?

I think Fireblend and cornburrito, but I am going to pass it along at the top of the hour if they don't post before then.

Also, I just realized: unless we want OA to die and never give him the book again, he will get two choices to give away the book today, right?

OA will get the book twice everyday until he dies. Unless he starts acting scummy or something else happens then it should just be expected and accounted for from here on out.

I'm here, trying to keep up with you guys' posts. I think the Princess game has made me soft (and I predict before we complete a full round this thread will have more posts than the Princess game).
Anyway, some thoughts: I'm pro having information out there but not just dumping all of our pairings/groupings straight away, because the only way I think this set up is balanced is if Kira has some really OP actions while having the note or there's scum players designed to spread misinformation like some have said; otherwise I'm really confused about how this doesn't end on a Kira death as soon as something is written on the note because of simple info extrapolation. I guess on the actual game there'd be roles designed to shake stuff up, though.
For now I'll just wait and see who OA chooses to pass the note to. I think establishing that we all got at least one partner as well as knowing about Ouro and Crimson being a pairing is enough for now, as far as information we want scum having goes.

Did we establish that everyone has a grouping? Kawl and Gorlak seemed confused when I brought it up. Gorlak has back tracked but Kawl did answer when someone asked him directly (or I missed it/forgot)

We may have a solo team. We don't know the numbers for the teams yet. It could be
2-2-2-2-2-3 2-2-2-1-3-3
etc.
I'm not saying Kawl COULDN'T be Kira, but I think just being alone, if he is, should be enough to determine it's him.

I know, it's just worth keeping in mind if he is actually single though. Gorlak is sketchier so far imo.

Shoot, Kawl didn't* answer Right. Gorlak did backtrack, but Kawl's reactions were interesting. If he sticks to that it's easy to confirm whether he's telling the truth, if he has at least one partner then they can call him out on that (not that I'm calling for anyone to do so), but if he's not I guess it's worth thinking about.

Gorlack backtracked in a way that proves that he does have a grouping: He was the first to mention how Kark had sent the messages.

I just find him sketchier on the basis that I've disagreed with him on pretty much every point so far today. It's literally all I have to go off of. It seems obvious to me that he has a grouping of some sort but that doesn't mean much.

Well in the interest of moving the game along
PASS: Sorian
In terms of what's in the book, I'll take a middle ground and leave one set of initials, "MJ" Though as things change throughout this phase I'll release more.

It's worth mentioning that I'm not Oceanic's real name buddy. I'm in a group of 3 as I said, he seemed to be in a pair.

I can confirm that none of these names in here belong to any of the people that I know. Also, and I'm not sure if Oceanic didn't notice or didn't want to reveal, but the flavor text with this reads to me like these 3 people are already dead (meaning they aren't names of anyone in this game). I'm pretty much ready to pass it already, just a question for Oceanic first. Why did you choose me?

Pretty much because out of the people that are most active you rubbed me the wrong way the least. Besides for most of the rest of the people I didn't really see any reason to save them since I really have no opinion of them.

Fair, all I needed to know for now. Unfortunately for you, we get to see you make a second choice.
PASS: OceanicAir
To be very simple, I don't distrust you and you will have to get it a second time again today at some point unless we wanted to vote you out. This can serve us a second purpose though. You'll be getting the book back with the exact same 3 names which means one of three things: I'm cleared as not being the killer, I am Kira and have chosen not to do a kill today/Kira frames me by not making a kill (which is still a net win in my book if it forces a NK-less night), or there is more here than we are expecting (possible but may as well play to Occam's Razor for now). Basically this is the easiest way I see for a player to be confirmed that they made no edits to the book, same person getting it before and after myself.
