Did you ever find a way to change the time stamp on posts to actually show a date and time (I did notice that it automatically converts once it gets past 24 hours ago but it would be convenient to always have it that way).

Is it possible to make the user info on the left side smaller? Right now one has to scroll through lots of blank space, because normally we don't post 30+ lines in a single post. Like: Smaller Avatar, no stars, postcount doesn't matter - position, flavour and status seems a lot. But I prefer minimalistic styles all day, everyday, so some will disagree.

What about post numbers?
Not a huge deal, but sometimes useful

There is a new theme in the profile settings called "GAFIA Dark Thin" which might suit you. I couldn't find a way to remove that info entirely, but with that theme it will only show when you mouse over someone's info. Great :) I can never go back. The smaller avatar is not really used to save space, because there is only blank space around it now. Maybe the original size won't take more space? Big thanks for the effort! I hate to ask again, but is this available in a light theme? I'm so used to black letters on white paper. Also are more posts per pages, I don't know... maybe a 100, possible? That would be great!

I'll work on a light theme in a short while, and let you know. I've got the posts per page up as high as it will go. If I find something else that lets me increase it, I will let you know. Is there a way to make it so I can change pages without scrolling back to the top? I don't know if I'm missing something or not.

On mine, the page numbers are always at the top of what I am currently viewing, it scrolls with you (this is not on mobile btw). I didn't change any settings so I assume yours is doing it too?

Sorian is correct, it should hang out around the top of the screen. I will look for a way to put it on the bottom of the thread as well, but so far I haven't seen anything. (Yeah, it annoys me too.)

I think I asked before and I probably got an answer but I'll ask again because I forget and the issue is becoming more apparent again now that I'm playing something. Is there a way to multi-quote?

Hmm, I think you did and I made a mental note to respond and never did. Right now, no. I open the quote windows in various new tabs and copy them over. I think I saw a plugin for multi-quoting, though, so I'll check that out and add it, if possible.

Found one! Now when you go to the full reply page, it will put a quote button next to every post. (Down under the reply window.) If you click that button, it will put a quote of that post wherever your cursor is. (I'm doing this as a new reply so that Sorian gets a second notification.)

No, but I'll keep looking. I'm willing to bet that there's a way based on the site's CSS, but I don't know enough about that to actually do it. Timestamp issue should be resolved on everything but the shoutbox. Let me know if you have any issues.

Okay, go look for "GAFIA Light Thin" and that should suit you. Thank you very much, Colonel! To not inflate the mgs thread further, I think I found the problem with the blank line (I probably added them myself every time -.-). And your combination of Avatar/Forum position still gives me a smile every time I see it :)

So, I don't distrust Retro in any way and that's not where this is coming from (for example, I don't care that he has access to the admin account while he is in ONUW) but I think during the season, there is a lot more maintenance that has the potential to crop up and if the admin account needs to be used, one stray glance at who last posted in a sub forum and we've got a spoiler on our hands. I think the more eloquent solution is that the Admin account be transferred to a current game runner for the season (which will probably be Retro for season 4 anyway so this is more for future talk). Just my two cents I guess. I don't want Retro to just go to a support role if he doesn't want to but it is going to be hard for a player to realistically use the Admin account for anything without noticing who last posted in the scum forum.

So here's the fun thing about how this forum is set up. The Admin can delegate any powers to pretty much whoever he wants. The only thing that is inherently special about the Admin account is that it cannot be blocked from seeing other threads. Which is why I changed that account to become "Admin" and created "Retro." I don't want to see everything. So from this account, I can do pretty much anything Admin can do, but I can set it up so that I don't accidentally see threads I'm not supposed to see. I can still create new boards and sections, and I can even make those boards appear or disappear for other people, all without seeing any of the contents.
My thought is to give these powers to the game-runners each season, and let them manage their boards, while keeping anything that I don't need to see hidden. I can also do initial setup each season, and then let the game-runners assign permissions as needed. If I grant powers to the game-runners, I should be able to provide any necessary support without spoiling myself.
Here's the other thing, though.
When I started working on this place, I actually kind of anticipated fading into the background more. I love playing, but helping all of you have fun is really, really satisfying. So when I talk about going to a support role, I'm not doing it as a martyr. I'm doing it as someone who loves watching these games and being part of the community.
Now, that being said, I'm not actually putting in my retirement notice. There are still more games to play.
It does seem like I'm going to be running Night Vale for season 4, so a lot of this is down the road.

One more thing - Yes, in the above scenario, I would still know the username and password to Admin, and if I were the kind of guy who cheated at these games, it would be very easy for me to just go in and see who is who. In this case, I am asking the community to trust me, and if they cannot, then I will hand it over to someone they can, or I will go back to a support role. No hard feelings, no questions asked.

I have mod permissions too, if I was bright enough, I could probably just go test things and figure this out for myself but I'm not lol So, effectively, you have no reason to log into admin at this time except for promoting people to Moderator? Or is there something else Admin can do that you can't (that you would usually need to do)

Or is there something else Admin can do that you can't (that you would usually need to do) I might even be able to promote/demote people from here, too. I'll check. But otherwise, yes, you are correct. EDIT: Yes, I can promote and demote people from this account, and I can give or take away most of the powers. (The ones I can't are largely unneeded on a day-to-day basis anyway.) Oh, I also can't edit posts other than mine, because that was REALLY annoying as Admin. I kept editing posts that I meant to quote. I CAN give that power, though.

Putting this into a separate post:
EDIT2: The powers that I cannot assign as Retro are the following:
1. Allow people to give critical powers 2. Allow someone to pay to make the forum ad-free for a certain amount of time and/or pageviews. 3. Allow somoene to move the hosting of the forum to a custom domain. 4. Manage file storage, for things like themes. 5. Delete Members 6. Delete Staff 7. Clean up the forum (an automated system to remove old threads and the like) 8. Send a mass email to all members of the forum.
But as Admin, I can still give these powers to moderators, so they will still be able to handle day-to-day without me logging in to Admin.

You have no real reason to use the Admin account during times when you are playing a game and I see no reason to distrust you overall. Someone needs to hold the keys to the Admin account and you are a responsible choice. If someone really feels like policing you, the last log in date is always available in the members section and Admin will probably sit unused during season games anyway from what I can tell.
Edit: Deleting members is probably a function you should just grant to your Retro account so that you have access to it always. I doubt you'll use it much but it's smart to have that on hand in emergencies.

That's a good point. Thank you for your trust.
EDIT: Oh, I probably did. What I'm saying is that only Admin can give people the power to hand that power out. Does that make sense? Regardless, Retro should be able to do it, and if not, I'll see that I can.

Can you move threads from Retro? So like how you moved ONUW 6 + Spec thread over to that vault of glass sub forum?
Not the biggest deal in the world, that would probably be done when games finish anyway so you would be free to use Admin to do that anyway.
Edit: And oh I see, that makes sense then. As long as Retro can delete unsavory members, we're good.

And I also checked, I do have the ability to delete members with this account. Here's the other nice thing - What I basically did was assigned all these powers to a group called "Global Moderator." I can assign anyone to that group, even as Retro. EDIT: Damn, went to Admin to check on all this, forgot I was in it before posting.

Seems like a non-issue then. As long as game runners have full moderation power, they can control permissions on who can see the dead threads, scum threads, mason/lovers threads, etc.
Speaking of, should there be a sub forum for mason/lovers threads?
